June 21, 2012. What a difference a year makes. Last Summer’s opening production, “Catfish Moon,” averaged 27 patrons per performance. This year’s show, “Moon Over the Brewery,” sold out on opening night and again on Tuesday night. The Sunday afternoon crowd even came in at a respectable 60 percent capacity. However, even more important is the fact the audience is liking what they see. There have been two standing ovations, and every patron has walked out with a smile on their face and praise on their lips.
Don’t miss seeing this wonderful show. Moon Over the Brewery closes next Monday. Two of the first three performances are sold out – Only four more to go.
The Ensemble Stage has already had to turn people away because they waited to buy tickets at the door and discovered the performance had been sold out. Order your tickets now and plan your day or evening around it. Have lunch or dinner in town, do some shopping and come to the show. Everything is within walking distance of the auditorium.
Worried about a place to park? Don’t be. The bus loop by the auditorium will be roped off on show days and starting about an hour before curtain someone will be there to drop the rope for our ticket holders to park (the loop can only hold between 15-20 vehicles so first come, first serve). Moon Over the Brewery is being presented at the the Blowing Rock School Auditorium, 160 Sunset Drive in Blowing Rock. The final 4 performances are June 22 and 25 at 7:30 p.m. and June 23 and 24 at 2 p.m.
Tickets only $17 Adult, $15 Students/Seniors/Military and $10 Kids 15 and under.

The Complete History of America (Abridged) Starts Rehearsals
The cast is in place and hitting the ground running to get ready for our next production which opens July 7. The casting for this show has been difficult. It requires 3 guys that possess perfect comic timing along with the ability to perform strong physical comedy and maintain a breakneck pace for 90 minutes. Luckily they found some fella’s that meet the criteria and are up to the task of keeping you laughing for an hour and a half.
