Discover the Beauty of Moths with Park Ranger Owenby at High Country Audobon’s Monthly Meeting Aug. 21

Aug. 7, 2012. High Country Audubon (HCAS) will have its next meeting Tuesday, Aug. 21 at 6:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Express in Boone. The monthly meeting on Aug. 21 will feature a presentation on moths by Lori Owenby, a park ranger at Riverbend and St. Stephens Parks in Catawba County.

After discovering the beauty of moths, Lori says, “Just know that you may never want to sleep at night again!”

High Country Audubon Society covers Avery, Ashe, Alleghany, Watauga and Wilkes counties and is designed to encourage beginning birders and experts alike to engage in conservation, education and research for the birds of western North Carolina. HCAS invites the public to attend the monthly meetings and field trips. Announcements about meeting and field trips can be found on their website www.highcountryaudubon.org.
