Crime of the Week: Crime Stoppers, Boone PD Seek Assistance in Electric Cart Theft from Walmart

Feb. 26, 2013. “CRIME OF THE WEEK”

High Country Crime Stoppers and Boone Police seek the public’s assistance in solving the following crime:

On Feb. 16 at approximately 4:30 p.m., a white male with dark hair, wearing jeans, a black blazer and sun glasses and a black male wearing grey sweatpants, a red hoodie and sunglasses entered Walmart, riding on the electric shopping carts.  Upon leaving the store, the black male parked his electric cart, but the white male drove his cart out of the store. Both suspects loaded the electric cart into a vehicle and fled the scene.  The suspect vehicle is a silver station wagon with black racks on the top and a large Appalachian State University “A” sticker in the middle of the rear window.
