Members of the Banner Elk Chamber of Commerce enjoyed the soaring elevations and immaculate mountain views at the Lodges at Eagles Nest on Wednesday night for the chamber’s latest Business After Hours get-together.

The crowd gathered at the development’s new Sportsman’s Lodge, which sits on the northern reaches of the property and boasts a beautiful pavilion with indoor and outdoor facilities, a kitchen, an outdoor fireplace and a large deck overlooking the panoramic views.

“I chose that location because it’s at the top of the mountain and the leaves were just starting to turn. It was very pleasant and there was a nice breeze,” said Mary Sue Street of Eagles Nest Realty. “We always enjoy having the chamber. They’re great people and it’s always fun.”

The chamber’s After Hours events are designed to unite local business owners for once-a-month opportunities to catch up, share stories and enjoy fellowship, ultimately creating a united front for promoting and bettering Banner Elk’s business community.

The Lodges at Eagles Nest is a gated community nestled along the Elk River that offers elite mountain home sites for new construction, move-in ready cottages and a world of luxury amenities including several full-service indoor and outdoor event spaces, a brand new equestrian facility and it’s very own Teepee Village. Available activities include horseshoes, trout fishing, playground fun, a dog park, a disc golf course, a ropes course, a climbing tower, a hiking trail network, an archery facility and even a well-stocked toy barn.
