Organizers of the Boone Film Festival announced the award nominees for the film categories in the inaugural film festival that takes place on Saturday, April 9, at the Harvest House in Boone.
The Boone Film Festival received more than 30 film submissions and 12 finalists were announced as nominees in the Youth, Environment, Culture and Adventure categories.
While the Saturday screening and “red-carpet” event is sold out, you can still participate in the fun at the pre-party at Footsloggers on Friday night. The pre-party begins at 5 p.m. and features live music from Bandam and special guests, Dean Lyon (a pioneer in the visual effects industry in Hollywood) and Patrick Wilkinson (a highly-regarded jack-of-all-trades in the film industry).
Appalachian Mountain Brewery will be on hand serving its brews.
