Need a safe, effective, trustworthy and aesthetically pleasing alternative to Craigslist? Look no further. ASU student Ammeen Nader and his team have created an app just for that: Boone — The App.

“We saw a problem in the classifieds market and we decided to take the opportunity to make [our classifieds platform] how we thought it should be,” Nader said.

This “revolutionary classifieds platform” utilizes user-to-user reviews so you know something about the person you are dealing with even before you have a chance to initially contact the buyer or seller. In-platform messaging takes this one step further, allowing you to contact buyers and sellers without having to give up personal information like a cell phone number or home address.

These features are what set this apart from other similar platforms that do not place user safety as their highest priority.

“We focus on user experience, safety and credibility,” the app’s Facebook page reads.

This focus shows that Nader and his team live by the Steve Jobs quote found on their website which reads: “You’ve got to start with the customer experience and work back toward the technology — not the other way around.”

The team has done just that. After realizing the need for a new classifieds app and drafting a mockup, Nader and CTO Treven Stoddard began creating the app during their senior year in high school.

“Treven began programming the app and we would meet up constantly during school lunch and at a local Starbucks when not at school,” Nader said. “Treven is the brains behind the app.”

After being a part of the Technology Student Association at their high school for three years, Nader and Stoddard moved on to college where they have put the finishing touches on their app.

Nader and Stoddard are also joined by cofounder Rasanjit Singh, who takes care of marketing. Singh previously worked on an app similar to Postmates but now focuses his time exclusively on Boone The App.

The app allows you to directly post products and services from your phone. It also contains a built-in purchasing feature and gives you real-time deal notifications.

While the application is still in its early days, the future looks promising for the new service and three cofounders.

“Our app has the best user navigation and the best aesthetics compared to the other platforms trying to create a safe classifieds program,” Nader said.

You should check out the app for yourself on the iTunes App Store. Even if you don’t give it a look, you might still see some of Nader’s handiwork in the years to come.

“I love rap music, photography and fashion. I want to be a successful entrepreneur in those fields,” Nader said.

If you’d like to have a part in getting Boone The App off the ground, your help would be greatly appreciated.

“We are always looking for funding from investors,” Nader said.

So if you’re looking for a cool, new way to safely buy, sell and trade goods and services, you need to check out this latest classifieds app!
