Blue Star Mothers Host Pancake Breakfast, May 5

April 25, 2012. The Blue Star Mothers of the High Country, in conjunction with Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill and Bar, will be holding it’s second annual Pancake Fundraising Breakfast on May 5 from 7:30 to 10 a.m. at the Applebee’s location on 2036 Blowing Rock Rd in Boone, NC. Tickets are $7 each.

The BSMHC are also selling tickets for a patriotic quilt that was created by several members It will be raffled off at the Memorial Day ceremony at the Boone Mall on Monday, May 28th. Tickets for that are $1 each or 6 tickets for $5.

The Blue Star Mothers of the High Country is a local chapter of the national BSM organization, consisting of approximately 40 military moms. It is a forum to express their concerns and find support for themselves and their sons and daughters who are currently serving in the military or are veterans. They send cards and care packages to our deployed soldiers – not only to our own sons and daughters, but to others that we hear about who are in need of items or words of support and appreciation for their service.
