Feb. 19, 2015. We’re not out of the frigid or snowy woods yet. The National Weather Service’s wind-chill warning is still in effect until 10 a.m. on Friday.

The warning notes that northwest winds of 10 to 20 mph along with “bitterly cold temperatures” in the range of subzero to single digits will keep wind chills as cold as negative 30 degrees.

Once the wind chills subside, then a NWS’ winter-storm watch goes into effect late Friday night through late Saturday night. Accumulations are vaguely estimated to be “significant totals of snow and ice” possible by Saturday evening.

The meteorologists at RaysWeather.com are “thinking one to four inches” of accumulation before the snow turns into a wintry mix and then into rain on Saturday night.

The high on Sunday is 45, which is going to feel balmy relative to what we’ve experienced lately.
