June 20, 2012. The 2012 Season for the Banner House Museum is June 16 – October 19, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. with final daily tour beginning at 3:30 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $1 for children. The Banner House Museum is located at 7990 Hickory Nut Gap Road, Banner Elk. Take a guided tour through time in this home built circa 1865 by Samuel H. Banner and his wife, Jane Hyder Banner, one of Banner Elk’s founding families.
Featuring a variety stories, games, crafts and other hands-on activities, Elk Camp for Children 2012 Season opens Wednesday, June 20, 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., at the Banner House Museum, 7990 Hickory Nut Gap Road, Banner Elk. Admission is $5 per child, per class. Classes are for children ages 6 – 10 years. Classes are limited, so pre-registration is preferred. Please call 828-898-3634 to register. Sessions will be held June 20, 27, July 11, 18, 25.
