About the Band: After years of supporting many of the regions top bands as sidemen, Wolf Creek was formed when five musicians came together as a group, combining the musical prowess that made them highly sought after hired guns in studio and on stage, with material ranging from Country, Bluegrass, Rock & Blues. With unmatched versatility in their sound as well as the diversity of material they cover, Wolf Creek has something for everyone no matter the age or musical preference. Whether it is in the clubs or on the stages of our regions top festivals and fairs, Wolf Creek is fulfilling it’s destiny to become one of the areas most popular bands.

Their first CD “Like The Restless Wind” combined songs written by the band’s members with material from some of the top writers in contemporary Bluegrass and Country music.

Although it showcases material with a definite “Newgrass” flare, audiences can expect to hear originals and covers from across a wide range of music that each of these musicians bring to the group, seamlessly blending all the styles they hold in their arsenal into a show that is very listenable AND highly danceable.

This week’s sponsor is Banner Elk Subway. They are located across from the Food Lion in the Sugar Mountain Village Shopping Center. Their scrumptious subs are made fresh to order and prepared just how you like them. They also offer salads, pizzas, and breakfast all day. They make catering easy from our jaw-dropping giant subs to last-minute party platters for any occasion. Large groups are no problem at all. Stop the bus and let their friendly staff take care of the rest.
