Autobell Car Wash Inc. Awards Academic Scholarships

Aug. 10, 2012. Autobell Car Wash Inc., based here, recently awarded 121 employees its 2012 academic scholarships toward the college or university of their choice, with this year’s gifts totaling $95,500. Since its inception, the Autobell Scholarship Program has awarded over $500,000 in academic funds to employees.

This year’s local recipients are:

Johnathan Broome of Banner Elk, NC, attends Appalachian State University.

Steven Custer, Boone, NC – Appalachian State University.

Benjamin Johnston, Vilas, NC – Appalachian State University.

Gabriele Romano, Boone, NC – Appalachian State University.

The Autobell Scholarship is an annual program open to current Autobell employees who are graduating high school seniors or have received a high school diploma. Along with a completed application, candidates must submit references, an acceptance letter from an accredited college or university, and an essay that discusses an educational aspect of their employment experience. The Autobell Selection Committee reviews all applications and chooses the scholarship recipients.
