ASU Alum Jonathan Dailey Found in Charles River in Boston Bound by Chains Weighted with a Cinderblock

Oct. 10, 2012. News outlets in New England are reporting that ASU Alum Jonathan Dailey of Charlotte has been missing since Oct. 2, was found about  a mile from his apartment in Boston’s Charles River bound by chains that were weighted with a cinderblock on Tuesday morning.  

His roommate Miles Smith said he last saw Dailey about 9 p.m. on Oct. 2. According to a Facebook page dedicated to finding the 23-year-old who moved to Boston with his roommate to study architecture at Boston Architectural College, all of Dailey’s forms of ID, passport, glasses, computer and other personal belongings were left at the residence. His debit card and cell phone were with him, however the cell phone was either dead or turned off. 

“The facts and circumstances surrounding Mr. Dailey’s death remain under investigation by State Police detectives assigned to the Suffolk DA’s office,” Suffolk District Attorney Daniel Conley’s office said in a statement. “We rule out no possibility and we promise Mr. Dailey’s family a thorough, comprehensive search for the truth.”
