Applications Now Accepted for Alpha Gamma Scholarship

Aug. 30, 2012. The Alpha Gamma Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International will award two scholarships to students majoring in teacher education. One scholarship will be awarded to a student at Appalachian State University and one will be awarded to a student at Lees-McRae College.

The application deadline is Friday, Sept. 28. Applicants must be female students, graduates of a North Carolina high school and enrolled at either Appalachian or Lees-McRae. They also must have a 3.0 GPA or better. Preference will be given to college juniors. 

To apply, send a letter of application with a statement of financial need, statement of commitment to teaching, list of extracurricular activities, both on and off campus, complete and current transcript and two letters of recommendation.
