Appalachian State University football unveiled several new uniform combinations for the 2015 season on Wednesday. The uniforms were first revealed to the team’s student-athletes following Wednesday’s conditioning session at Kidd Brewer Stadium.

The primary elements of the new uniform combinations are the addition of a gold jersey and gold pants to go along with the Mountaineers’ traditional black and white jerseys and pants.

App State will also have three different helmet designs in 2015 — one featuring its traditional Block A logo, one with its secondary Victory Yosef logo and a third featuring the Block A logo emblazoned with Stars and Stripes, which will be worn for Heroes Day on Nov. 5 versus Arkansas State.

Aside from the Stars and Stripes Block A helmet being worn for the nationally televised Heroes Day battle versus A-State (7:30 p.m. – ESPNU), the uniforms that the Mountaineers will don for each individual game in 2015 has yet to be determined.

With the addition of the gold jerseys, gold pants and Victory Yosef helmet, Appalachian State football will have 21 different uniform combinations to choose from for its 12 regular-season games this season.

“I’m excited about the new uniform combinations that we’ll have to choose from this fall,” Appalachian State head coach Scott Satterfield said. “Uniforms are important to student-athletes, so we live by the ‘Look Good, Feel Good, Play Good’ mantra. We look forward to continuing to work with Nike to provide our student-athletes with the best-looking and most state-of-the-art gear to wear on and off the field.”
