Feb. 17, 2012. BOONE — The Watauga County Center of the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service will present its annual “Report to the People” luncheon on Tuesday, March 6, at 11:45 a.m. at the Agricultural Conference Center in Boone.
After a local food lunch, a presentation will include the Watauga Cooperative Extension’s highlights, accomplishments and future goals, and county agents will share information about their programs.
The N.C. Cooperative Extension, based at North Carolina State University and North Carolina A&T State University, partners with communities to deliver education and technology that improve the lives, land and economy of North Carolinians.
The Cooperative Extension’s programs include the areas of agriculture and food, community, environment, forest resources, health and nutrition, home and family, lawn and garden and 4-H youth development.
Citizens who wish to attend the luncheon should RSVP by calling 828-264-3061 by Monday, February 28.
The Agricultural Conference Center is located at 252 Poplar Grove Rd.
