All Local Homebrewers and Beer Lovers Invited to Attend The Boone Brew Bash Dec. 7

Dec. 4, 2012. Appalachian Homebrewing Supply will host the Boone Brew Bash, a gathering of local homebrewers and beer enthusiasts on Friday, Dec. 7, from 7-10 p.m. at the Watauga County Agricultural Conference Center. The event is free of charge but attendees are encouraged to Bring Your Own Home Brew.

The event will provide beer enthusiasts with a venue to share their own creations, discuss homebrewing and learn more about the hobby. No previous knowledge is required, so those interested in picking up the hobby are especially encouraged to attend.

With the opening of a homebrewing supply store and its very own microbrewery, the hobby is quickly picking up steam in Boone. One common misconception about homebrewing is that the hobby itself is very expensive; in reality homebrewing can be cheaper than buying beer or wine from stores.

“Homebrewing is really easy, and the beer is amazing” says Isabel Pastrana, owner and operator of Appalachian Homebrewing Supply. “If you can make a stew you can make a brew.”
