1st Annual Watauga Humane Society Golf Tournament Held May 18 at the Blowing Rock Country Club

BLOWING ROCK — How can you play golf and help animals at the same time? By playing in the 1st Annual Watauga Humane Society Golf Tournament at Blowing Rock Country Club on Friday, May 18. If you don’t play golf you can still help provide much needed support by being a tournament sponsor, donating merchandise for tournament prizes or volunteering to work at the fundraiser. 

The Blowing Rock Country Club is hosting the 1st Annual Watauga Humane Society Golf Tournament on Friday, May 18 with a start time of 1:30 p.m. Team prizes, special event prizes and a hole-in-one prize (car provided by Alfred B. Glover’s Ford Lincoln) will be awarded.

The format of the tournament is a Schramble (Two Best Balls of a Foursome). Individual registration is $135 or $540 for a team of four. The fee includes a chance to play at the Blowing Rock Country Club, golf cart and green fees, a free bag lunch and other goodies. After the game there will be a cash bar and hors d’oeuvres, presentation of prizes and the drawing of raffles.

All proceeds of the tournament will provide for the animals’ care and shelter as they wait at the Watauga Humane Society for families to adopt them. 

The deadline for entries is May 16.
