New Year’s Eve Champagne Jam, Boone Saloon

Possum Jenkins Rings in the New Year at Boone Saloon with its first-ever New Year’s Eve Champagne Jam.

Opening up for Possum Jenkins is The Worthless Son-In-Laws at 10 p.m. The cover is $10, and you must be 21 or older to enter.

New Year’s Eve Classic Country Dance To Benefit Vet Awaiting Heart Transplant

The American Legion Building in Blowing Rock hosts the George Wilson band, which is providing the music for a New Year’s Eve dance benefitting the Keplar Family.

Randy is on the Heart Transplant Research List in Nashville, Tenn. He has had multiple heart attacks this year and has been hospitalized about 100 days in Johnson City and Nashville. His wife has had to stay in a hotel through all of this, and the family has incurred great expenses.

Admission to the dance, which starts at 8 p.m., is $10 for singles and $17 for couples. Line and couple dancing to classic country music. FOr more information 828-262-3420.

Soul Watt will perform at Canyons New Year’s Eve Party. The music starts at 10 p.m. and the cover is $10, which includes a complimentary toast at midnight.

New Year’s Celebration at Sugar Mountain
Sugar Mountain Resort’s New Year’s Eve celebration includes a romantic and beautiful torch light parade at 11:45 p.m., an extravagant fireworks display at 11:55 p.m. and live entertainment provided by “The Johnson Brothers” from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Third Floor Cafeteria welcomes all ages. One basket of Hors D’oeuvres when you arrive, a champagne toast at midnight, party favors cost $80 per couple and $45 for singles.

The Last Run Lounge, where folks must be over 21, includes a champagne toast at midnight and costs $25 per person and $45 per couple.

Celebrate New Years at Beech Mountain Resort

Come celebrate the New Year at the Beech Tree Bar and Grille. The Beech Tree will open at 8 p.m. for a 21-and-up event lasting until 1:30 a.m.

The Jonathan Birchfield band will play-in 2013 with his unique mix of country and rock tunes to keep every ear entertained.

Tickets cost $10 per person. Additionally, ice skating hours will be extended until 11 p.m., offering fun and door prizes for all ages. The shuttle bus will provide transportation until 2 a.m.

A DJ Dance party takes place at Char in downtown Boone from 10:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. Free champagne toast and party favors are included in the $7 cover charge.

Also, a special dinner menu happens earlier from 5 to 9 p.m. The special dinner costs $55 per person and reservations are required.

New Year’s Gala at The Green Park Inn in Blowing Rock

The Green Park Inn hosts a New Year’s Gala that includes dinner, champagne and jazz. Early bird seating starts from 6 to 8 p.m. and the Charlie Ellis Jazz Trio will perform in the lobby from 6 to 9 p.m.

The five-course meal starts at 9 p.m. as does dancing and runs through 1 a.m. Champagne toast takes place at midnight. The cost is $90 per person.

Dance the night away in The Green Park Inn’s Grand Ballroom where Classic Swing, Big Band, a Beech Set and a 70s/80s classic rock-n-roll set will fill the air.
