Weekly Crime Reports: Activity and Arrests in Boone and Watauga County, June 12 – 19

June 12
INCIDENT: Breaking or entering and larceny – from buildings was reported at 829 James Hayes Rd. in Deep Gap.ARREST: A female suspect, 34, of 1386 Sampson Rd. in Boone, was charged with simple physical assault. No bond. Trial date: July 18.

ARREST: A male suspect, 22, of 305 Hicks Rd. in Sugar Grove, was charged with felony parole and probation violations. Secured bond: $20,000. Trial date: July 3.

ARREST: A male suspect, 24, of 1358 Friendship Church Rd. in Boone, was charged with simple physical assault. No bond.

ARREST: A male suspect, 24, of 3755 Airport Rd. in Hays, was charged with felony breaking and entering building and felony larceny from buildings. Secured bond: $3,000. Trial date: July 21.

June 13
INCIDENT: Misdemeanor larceny was reported at 3635 NC Highway 194 S. in Sugar Grove.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 12476 US Highway 421 S. in Deep Gap.

INCIDENT: Damage to property was reported at 1000 Mountain View Baptist Church Rd. in Deep Gap.

INCIDENT: Unattended death was reported at 233 Indian Paintbrush Dr., Unit RG1, in Banner Elk.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and larceny (felony) were reported at 148 Albert Tester Dr. in Sugar Grove.

ARREST: A female suspect, 83, of 494 Highway 194 S. in Vilas, was charged with misdemeanor worthless checks.

June 14
ARREST: A male suspect, 24, of 105 Windy Gap Rd. in Blowing Rock, was charged with FTA probation violation. Secured bond: $5,000. Trial date: July 14.

ARREST: A male suspect, 37, of Boone, was charged with misdemeanor larceny.

ARREST: A male suspect, 34, of 151 Mountain View Cr. in Elizabethon, TN, was charged with child support and failure to appear. Secured bond: $11,750. Trial date: July 10.

ARREST: A male suspect, 44, of 139 Patton Ln. in Boone, was charged with felony PWIMSD sch II CS and felony maintain vehicle/dwell/controlled substance. Secured bond: $10,000. Trial date: July 21.

ARREST: A male suspect, 27, of 343 Hayes Wellborn Rd. in Boone, was charged with misdemeanor larceny and injury to personal property. Secured bond: $750. Trial date: July 21.

June 15
INCIDENT: Resist public officer and parole and probation violations were reported at 855 Eagle Dr. in Boone.

ARREST: A female suspect, 20, of 6069 Laytown Rd. in Lenoir, was charged with resist public officer. Secured bond: $500. Trial date: July 21.

ARREST: A male suspect, 51, of 139 Patton Ln. in Boone, was charged with communicating threats. Trial date: July 25.

ARREST: A male suspect, 29, of 1125 Mike Williams Ln. in Lillington, was charged with felony parole and probation violations and misdemeanor resist public officer. Secured bond: $25,500. Trial date: July 21.

June 16
INCIDENT: Simple physical assault was reported at residence on Sunny Brook Ln. in Sugar Grove.

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault was reported at an unknown location on Rich Mountain Rd. in Zionville.

INCIDENT: All other larceny and trespassing were reported at 4810 Sampson Rd. in Lenoir.

INCIDENT: All other larceny and trespassing were reported at 3000 Sampson Rd. in Lenoir.

INCIDENT: Larceny – all other larceny and criminal damage to property (vandalism) were reported at 9771 US Highway 421 S., STE 1, in Deep Gap.

INCIDENT: Calls for service was reported at 5605 Bamboo Rd. in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 46, of 56 Mustang Ln. in Elk Park, was charged with felony uttering forged instrument, felony forgery and uttering and felony obtain property by false pretense. Secured bond: $25,000. Trial date: July 18.

June 17
INCIDENT: Fraud – impersonation was reported at 126 Browns Chapel Rd. in Boone.

INCIDENT: DWI – alcohol and/or drugs was reported at 965 Wilson Ridge Rd. in Boone.

ARREST: A female suspect, 46, of 579 Brookshire Rd. in Boone, was charged with DWI – alcohol and/or drugs. Trial date: July 18.

ARREST: A male suspect, 29, of 1609 Forge Creek Rd. in Mountain City, TN, was charged with criminal contempt. No bond. Trial date: July 21.

ARREST: A male suspect, 29, of 1609 Forge Creek Rd. in Mountain City, TN, was charged with felony breaking and entering building and felony larceny. Secured bond: $10,000. Trial date: July 21.

June 18
INCIDENT: Calls for service was reported at 1294 Cloudrise Ln. in Banner Elk.

INCIDENT: Fraud – all other fraud was reported at 221 Margot Rd. in Boone.

INCIDENT: Calls for service was reported at 2318 NC Highway 194 N. in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 34, of 1817 Old Watauga River Rd. in Sugar Grove, was charged with possession drug paraphernalia – marijuana, possession marijuana up to 1/2 ounce and felony possess methamphetamine. Secured bond: $4,000. Trial date: July 18.

June 19
INCIDENT: Assault on a female was reported at 499 Trivette Cir. in Sugar Grove.

INCIDENT: Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported at 373 Margo Rd., Unit B, in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 20, of 499 Trivette Circle in Sugar Grove, was charged with assault on a female. No bond. Trial date: July 18.

ARREST: A male suspect, 35, of 150 Paul Greer Rd., Apt. 3, in Boone, was charged with rear lamp violation and DWI – alcohol. Trial date: July 18.

ARREST: A male suspect, 24, of 190 Ivy Dr., Apt. 17, in Boone, was charged with speeding and driving while impaired. Other bond. Trial date: July 18.

INCIDENT: All other larceny was reported at 368 Highway 105 Ext. in Boone.

June 17
INCIDENT: Larceny – auto parts & accessories was reported at 361 University Hall Dr. in Boone.

INCIDENT: Driving while impaired, possession of schedule IV and possession of schedule VI was reported at W. King St., 200 Block, in Boone.

INCIDENT: Defrauding an innkeeper was reported at 130 N. Depot St. in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 37, of 338 Brook Hollow Rd. in Boone, was charged with parole and probation violations. Secured bond: $5,000. Trial date: July 14.

ARREST: A male suspect, 23, of 195 Bruce Shelton Blvd., Apt. 104, in Boone, was charged with driving while impaired, possession of sch VI and possession of sch IV. Trial date: July 21.

INCIDENT: Burglary – forcible entry and larceny – all other larceny were reported at 144 Caleb’s Crossing Rd. in Boone.
