Weekly Crime Reports: Activity and Arrests in Boone and Watauga County, Feb. 15 – 21

The following were provided by the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office.

Feb. 4

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and damage to property were reported at 504 N.C. Highway 194 S in Vilas.

INCIDENT: Drug violations were reported at 2760 N.C. Highway 194 N. in Boone.

Feb. 14

ARREST: A female suspect, 46, of 7368 Beaver Run Drive in Fayetteville, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance in prison/jail premises. She was held under a $10,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on April 1.

Feb. 17

INCIDENT: Felony larceny, misdemeanor breaking and entering and injury to real property were reported at 200 Slabtown Road in Zionville.

ARREST: A female suspect, 22, of 373 B Margo Road in Boone, was charged with felony probation violation. She was held under a $2,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on March 14.

ARREST: A female suspect, 21, of 247 Meadowview Drive Apt. 9 in Boone, was charged with OFA FTA. She was held under a $2,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on March 11.

ARREST: A male suspect, 29, of 292 Rogers Drive in Boone, was charged with DVPO violation and failure to return rental property and is scheduled to appear in court on March 21.

Feb. 18

INCIDENT: Recovered property was reported at Pottertown in Boone.

INCIDENT: Assault on a female was reported at 1218 State Farm Road in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 27, of 638 Buckeye Ridge Road in Boone, was charged with simple physical assault, communicating threats and probation violation. He was held under a $7,000 secure bond and is scheduled to appear in court on March 14.

Feb. 19

INCIDENT: Communicating threats and simple physical assault with sexual motive were reported at 638 Buckeye Ridge Road in Zionville.

INCIDENT: Burglary – non-forced entry and larceny – from buildings were reported at 1253 Brookshire Road Unit B in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 22, of 153 Boulder Gardens in Boone, was charged with contempt of court/perjury/court violations. He was held under a $1,157 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on March 11.

Feb. 20

INCIDENT: Possession of marijuana and paraphernalia were reported at U.S. Highway 421 S. and N. Pine Run in Boone.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and trespassing were reported at 258 Newts Crossing in Vilas.

INCIDENT: Assault and juvenile problem were reported at 258 Wallace Lane in Banner Elk.

INCIDENT: Assault on a female was reported at 280 Lynn Hill Road in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 30, of 280 Lynn Hill Road in Boone, was charged with assault on a female and is scheduled to appear in court on April 1.

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 1421 Brownwood Road in Deep Gap, was charged with DWLR – DWI and fictitious tag.

ARREST: A female suspect, 36, of 1099 Bairds Creek Road in Vilas, was charged with breaking and entering – building and trespassing and is scheduled to appear in court on April 1.

Feb. 21

INCIDENT: Injury to personal property was reported at 2472 Junaluska Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 2475 Junaluska Road in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 51, of 1417 N.C. Highway 105 Bypass Apt. 3 in Boone, was charged with violation of a court order. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on April 1.

Feb. 22

INCIDENT: Damage to property was reported at 427 Hodges Gap Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at 422 Mable School Road in Zionville.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 400 Knollwood Drive in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 24, of 338 Brook Hollow Road in Boone, was charged with OFA – failure to pay child support. He was held under a $267 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on March 18.

ARREST: A female suspect, 41, of 691 Sherwood Road in Vilas, was charged with FTA and unauthorized use of motor vehicle. She was held under a $3,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 23.

Feb. 23

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 352 Stella Taylor Road in Boone.

Feb. 15

INCIDENT: Criminal damage to property was reported at 1790 U.S. Highway 421 S.

INCIDENT: DV protective order violation was reported at 115 Winter Drive.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at Anna Banana’s, 641 W. King St.

ARREST: A male suspect, 29, of 115 Winter Drive, was charged with DV protection order violation and is scheduled to appear in court on April 15.

ARREST: A female suspect, 43, of 1942 Cold Springs Road in Mountain City, was charged with larceny and is scheduled to appear in court on April 1.

Feb. 16

INCIDENT: Assault on a female was reported at 216 Creekside Lane.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 289 Ambling Way Apt. 1112C.

ARREST: A male suspect, 33, of 216 Creekside Lane, was charged with assault on a female and is scheduled to appear in court on April 1.

Feb. 17

INCIDENT: Vandalism, domestic criminal trespass and violation of DVPO were reported at 216 Creekside Lane.

ARREST: A male suspect, 30, of 180 Pinewood Circle in Fleetwood, was charged with drug violations and cyberstalking and is scheduled to appear in court on April 15.

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 1469W. King St. Apt. 201, was charged with probation violation. He was held under a $2,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on March 14.

ARREST: A male suspect, 33, of 216 Creekside Lane in Boone, was charged with domestic criminal trespass, violation of DVPO and vandalism and is scheduled to appear in court on April 1.

Feb. 18

INCIDENT: Communicating threats was reported at 323 Charlotte Ann Lane G15.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering was reported at 388 Clawson St. #208.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 1286 N.C. Highway 105.

ARREST: A female suspect, 19, of 1200 Matthews Glen Drive in Knightdale, was charged with order for arrest. She was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on March 22.

ARREST: A female suspect, 43, of 333 Will Perry Road in Vilas, was charged with simple worthless check. She was held under a $300 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on March 8.

ARREST: A female suspect, 41, of 2571 Longhope Road in Todd, was charged with FTA/OFA (misdemeanor larceny). She was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on March 17.

ARREST: A male suspect, 20, of 120 Quail Hollow Drive in Marion, was charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance and possession of marijuana and is scheduled to appear in court on April 1.

Feb. 19

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at Watauga High School, 300 Go Pioneers Drive.

INCIDENT: Counterfeiting – using was reported at 2693 N.C. Highway 105.

ARREST: A female suspect, 62, of 165 Robin Lane Apt. 312 in Boone, was charged with misdemeanor larceny. She was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on April 1.

ARREST: A male suspect, 24, of 136 Shavender Drive in Mooresville, was charged with speeding and DWLR and is scheduled to appear in court on March 7.

ARREST: A female suspect, 52, of 338 Brook Hollow Road in Boone, was charged with trespassing. She was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on March 28.

Feb. 20

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 23 7th Ave. NE in Hickory, was charged with drunk and disruptive. He was held under a $750 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on April 1.

ARREST: A male suspect, 27, of 104 Carlin Court in Boone, was charged with fictitious info to officer, simple possession of a schedule IV controlled substance and interfering with electronic monitoring device.

ARREST: A male suspect, 33, of 216 Creekside Lane in Boone, was charged with contempt of court/perjury/court violations and is scheduled to appear in court on April 1.

ARREST: A male suspect, 34, of 338 Brook Hollow Road in Boone, was charged with OFA/misdemeanor probation violation and shoplifting – concealment of goods. He was held under a $10,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on April 1.

Feb. 21

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 928 Fallview Lane in Boone, was charged with DWI – alcohol and is scheduled to appear in court on April 1.
