Weekly Crime Reports: Activity and Arrests in Boone and Watauga County, Aug. 28-Sept. 4

The following were provided by the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office.

Aug. 28

ARREST: A male suspect, 26, of 2833 Hanes Grove Road in Hamptonville, was charged with DWLR, fict/alt plate, failure to register, no inspection and no insurance. Trial date: Sept. 9.

ARREST: A male suspect, 43, of 3309 Bald Eagle Trail in Hamptonville, was charged with all other offenses.

Aug. 29

INCIDENT: Larceny and breaking and entering were reported at 127 Taylor Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 247 Rocky Maple Ave. in Boone.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 285 Hodges Valley Road Unit 4 in Boone.

INCIDENT: Fraud – impersonation was reported at 175 Buchanan St. Unit 1 in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 37, of 1495 Cobbs Creek Road in Boone, was charged with DVPO violation. Trial date: Oct. 18.

ARREST: A male suspect, 39, of 6142 Statesville Road in North Wilkesboro, was charged with OFA/FTA (multiple). Secured bond: $15,000. Trial date: Sept. 28.

Aug. 30

INCIDENT: Harassment was reported at 142 Margo Lane Unit A in Boone.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 1196 Teaberry Hills in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 45, of 421 Oak Grove Road in Boone, was charged with three counts of felony contempt of court/perjury/court violations. Secured bond: $80,000. Trial date: Sept. 12.

Aug. 31

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at 145 Ironwood Drive in Banner Elk.

ARREST: A male suspect, 30, of 150 Hillandale Drive in Boone, was charged with felony arson. Secured bond: $500,000. Trial date: Oct. 20.

Sept. 1

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault was reported at Blue Ridge Diner, 5176 Old U.S. Highway 421 S in Deep Gap.

INCIDENT: Injury to real property was reported at 2312 Broadstone Road in Banner Elk.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at 144 Ridge Point Drive in Boone.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 11904 U.S. Highway 421 N in Zionville.

INCIDENT: Burglary, larceny and injury to personal property were reported at 834 Fallview Lane Unit 1 in Boone.

Sept. 2

INCIDENT: Identity theft was reported at 184 Hodges Gap Road in Boone.

Sept. 3

INCIDENT: Fraud was reported in the parking lot at Hill Top Drive-In in Boone.

INCIDENT: DVPO violation was reported at 184 Hodges Gap Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Assault on a female was reported at Tweetsie Railroad.

ARREST: A male suspect, 54, of 1202 U.S. Highway 70 E in Valdese, was charged with assault on a female. Trial date: Oct. 18.

Sept. 4

INCIDENT: Simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance, possess marijuana paraphernalia and underage possession of alcohol were reported on Patton Lane in Boone.

Sept. 5

ARREST: A male suspect, 34, of 4304 Bamboo Road in Boone, was charged with felony breaking and entering building, larceny and misdemeanor OFA child support. Secured bond: $5,200. Trial date: Oct. 20.

INCIDENT: Counterfeiting was reported at Kangaroo, 1996 Blowing Rock Road.

INCIDENT: Harassment was reported at 641 W King St.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 300 Go Pioneers Drive.

INCIDENT: Damage to real property, misdemeanor breaking and entering were reported at 481 Oak Street.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering were reported at 168 Highland Woods rail Apt. 303.

ARREST: A female suspect, 17, of 438 Hodges Gap Road in Boone, was charged with vandalism. Trial date: Oct. 20.

ARREST: A female suspect, 17, of 166 Herring Loop Apt. 206 in Boone, was charged with damage to real property.

Aug. 30

INCIDENT: Aggravated assault was reported at 155 Winter Drive.

INCIDENT: Possession of marijuana less than ½ oz. and possession of marijuana paraphernalia were reported at 454 Oak Street.

INCIDENT: Fraud was reported at 200 Watauga Village Drive.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 1016 Blowing Rock Road.

ARREST: A male suspect, 19, of 4177 Riverpoint Drive in Fayetteville, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

ARREST: A female suspect, 41, of 9476 Wilson Road in Hildebran, was charged with obstruct public officer and trespassing.

ARREST: A male suspect, 54, of 225 Horseshoe Drive in Boone, was charged with communicating threats. Trial date: Sept. 29.

Aug. 31

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault was reported at 2036 Blowing Rock Road.

INCIDENT: Fraud and shoplifting were reported at 200 Watauga Village Drive.

Sept. 1

INCIDENT: Indecent exposure was reported at 589 W King St.

INCIDENT: Fraud was reported at 1500 Blowing Rock Road.

INCIDENT: Impersonating law enforcement was reported at Lowe’s Foods parking lot, 267 New Market Centre.

ARREST: A female suspect, 29, of 338 Brook Hollow Road in Boone, was charged with harassing phone calls and simple nonphysical assault. Trial date: Oct. 20.

ARREST: A male suspect, 29, of 338 Brook Hollow Road in Boone, was charged with impersonate law enforcement. Secured bond: $750. Trial date: Oct. 18.

Sept. 2

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 747 W King St.

INCIDENT: Simple assault was reported at 100 N Depot St PVA.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 375 N.C. Highway 105 Ext. Suite 1.

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 1096 Fallview Lane Apt. 2 in Boone, was charged with simple assault. Trial date: Oct. 20.

ARREST: A male suspect, 37, was charged with order for arrest. Trial date: Sept. 14.

ARREST: A male suspect, 30, of 296 Blair Court in Boone, was charged with expired inspection, expired registration and no liability insurance. Trial date: Oct. 18.

Sept. 3

INCIDENT: DWLR, shoplifting and resisting arrest were reported at 200 Watauga Village Drive.

ARREST: A female suspect, 29, of 2131 Miles Field Road in Elk Park, was charged with felony probation violation, misdemeanor DWLR, resist arrest, larceny – shoplifting, order for arrest, larceny by employee. Secured bond: $80,000. Trial date: Sept. 15.

Sept. 4

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering to terrorize or injury, communicating threats and simple assault were reported at 157 Stoneybrook Court Apt. 5.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering were reported at 148 N.C. Highway 105 Ext. Apt. 302.

ARREST: A suspect, 25, of 403 Arpace in Kernersville, was charged with drunk and disruptive. Secured bond: $750. Trial date: Oct. 20.

ARREST: A male suspect, 23, of 268 Mallard Lane Apt. 9 in Boone, was charged with DWI. Trial date: Oct. 18.

ARREST: A male suspect, 23, of 9266 Elk Creek Road in Deep Gap, was charged with order for arrest.
