Weekly Crime Reports: Activity and Arrests in Boone and Watauga County, Sept. 7 – 21

The following information is provided by local law enforcement agencies.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The following were provided by the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office.

Sept. 12

ARREST: A male suspect, 27, of 1381 Brown Wood Road in Deep Gap, was charged with felony larceny of ginseng. He was held under a $10,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 23.

Sept. 13

ARREST: A male suspect, 22, of 231 Smith Henson Road in Boone, was charged with felony larceny, breaking and entering and misdemeanor injury to personal property. He was held under a $15,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

Sept. 16

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 304 Deep Gap Drive in Deep Gap.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 230 Woodbriar Drive in Sugar Grove.

INCIDENT: Injury to personal property, communicating threats and cyberstalking were reported at 284 Grady Winkler Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault and larceny were reported at 1856 N.C. Highway 105 Bypass in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 30, of 1615 Sutherland Road in Creston, was charged with failure to appear on charges of possession of marijuana. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 23.

Sept. 17

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at 1504 Rocky Mountain Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Larceny and fraud were reported at 10430 N.C. Highway 194 N. in Todd.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 3850 U.S. Highway 421 S. in Boone.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 4092 N.C. Highway 105 S. Apt. 324 in Boone.

INCIDENT: Communicating threats was reported at 484 Kellersville Road in Banner Elk.

ARREST: A female suspect, 42, of 147 Poplar Estates Drive in Todd, was charged with failure to appear. She was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

Sept. 18

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 484 Kellersville Road in Banner Elk.

INCIDENT: Noise ordinance violation, possession of a controlled substance and resist/obstruct/delay were reported at 115 Long St. Unit 4 in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 45, of 3889 Owen Fox Place in Hudson, was charged with shoplifting. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

Sept. 19

INCIDENT: Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported near Trash Can Falls in Sugar Grove.

INCIDENT: Burglary was reported at 587 Trivette Circle in Sugar Grove.

INCIDENT: Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle was reported at 128-2 Hidden Treasures in Boone.

INCIDENT: Simple assault was reported at 204 Parkwood Circle in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 37, of 300 Mountain Aire Lane Apt. 1D in Boone, was charged with simple possession of a schedule II controlled substance and simple possession of a schedule III controlled substance. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

Sept. 20

INCIDENT: DWI was reported at the intersection of N.C. Highway 105 S. and Poplar Grove Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Simple assault was reported at 304-2 Clint Norris Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Burglary was reported at 160 Parkwood Circle in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 27, of 1160 1st at NE Apt. 1030 in Washington, D.C., was charged with DWI. He was held under a $2,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 17.

Sept. 21

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported on the 1000 block of Fallview Lane in Boone.

Sept. 7

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and criminal damage to property were reported at 314 Meadowview Drive Apt. 705.

ARREST: A male suspect, 20, of 228 Augusta Drive in Statesville, was charged with resisting a public officer and consuming alcohol. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

Sept. 8

INCIDENT: A missing person was reported at 120 Boone Heights Drive.

INCIDENT: Fraud was reported at 144 Winter Drive.

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 125 Sherry Lane, was charged with financial card fraud. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 309 Meadow Hill Drive Apt. 22, was charged with sell/deliver marijuana and PWISD marijuana. He was held under a $3,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

Sept. 9

INCIDENT: Motor vehicle theft/automobile was reported at 1852 N.C. Highway 105 Ste. 1.

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 432 Sourwood Lane in Blowing Rock, was charged with DWI, revoked registration plate and failure to insure vehicle. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

ARREST: A male suspect, 23, of 280 Sunny Acres Overlook, was charged with exceeding posted speed, failure to maintain lane control, failure to stop for siren and DWI. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

Sept. 10

INCIDENT: Drug violations were reported at 300 Go Pioneers Drive.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 641 W. King St.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 324 Meadow Hill Drive Apt. 54.

ARREST: A male suspect, 48, of 523 Brown Place in Mountain City, Tennessee, was charged with contempt of court/perjury/court violations. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

ARREST: A male suspect, 32, of 324 Meadow Hill Drive Apt. 54 in Boone, was charged with open container alcohol violation. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 1.

Sept. 11

INCIDENT: Assault inflicting serious injury was reported at 194 Howard St.

INCIDENT: Harassment was reported at 737 W. King St.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 141 Health Center Drive.

INCIDENT: Disorderly conduct and resist/obstruct/delay were reported at 300 Go Pioneers Drive.

ARREST: A male suspect, 20, of 12119 Kane Alexander Drive, was charged with DWI and seatbelt violation. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20

ARREST: A male suspect, 23, of 289 Ambling Way Unit 517, was charged with damage to property. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 1.

ARREST: A female suspect, 24, was charged with NOL and failure to register vehicle. He was held under a $750 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

ARREST: A male suspect, 16, of 193 Winter Drive, was charged with resist/obstruct/delay and disorderly conduct/school. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

ARREST: A male suspect, 20, of 1541 Spencer St. in Cambria, was charged with driving after consuming. He was held under a $750 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

ARREST: A male suspect, 24, of 281 Charlotte Ann Lane, was charged with felony possession of a schedule I controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was held under a $3,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

ARREST: A female suspect, 18, of 663 Doe Branch Road in Zionville, was charged with order for arrest. She was held under a $5,000 secured bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.

ARREST: A female suspect, 57, was charged with drunk and disruptive. She was held under a $300 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

Sept. 12

INCIDENT: Criminal damage to property was reported at 200 Quail Drive.

INCIDENT: Fraud was reported at 2200 U.S. Highway 421 S.

ARREST: A male suspect, 51, of 3811 Squirrel Hollow Lane in Lenoir, was charged with failure to appear and trespassing. He was held under a $5,000 secured bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.

Sept. 13

INCIDENT: Vandalism, house breaking and entering and assault on a female were reported at 754 Dogwood Road.

INCIDENT: Aggravated assault and assault on a female were reported at 320 N. Depot St.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and vandalism were reported at 190 Wood Circle #38.

ARREST: A male suspect, 49, was charged with trespassing and larceny. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.
