Weekly Crime Reports: Activity and Arrests in Boone and Watauga County, Sept. 14 – 28

The following information is provided by local law enforcement agencies.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The following were provided by the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office.

Sept. 21

INCIDENT: Injury to personal property and assault on a female were reported at 334 Jenwill Drive in Deep Gap.

Sept. 22

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and larceny are reported at 166 Parkwood Circle in Boone.

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault was reported at 149 Hensels Lane in Boone.

INCIDENT: Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle was reported at 4614 Meat Camp Road in Todd.

INCIDENT: Larceny and shoplifting were reported at Dollar General, 146 Yuma Lane in Deep Gap.

ARREST: A male suspect, 24, of 104 Carlin Court in Boone, was charged with non-support/non-payment of alimony. He was held under an $842 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 21.

Sept. 23

INCIDENT: Domestic violence was reported at 366 Strawberry Fields Lane in Vilas.

ARREST: A female suspect, 45, of 1659 Howards Creek Road in Boone, was charged with school attendance law violation. She’s scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

ARREST: A male suspect, 25, of 107 Ford Hollars Road in Vilas, was charged with contempt of court/perjury/court violations. He was held under a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 22

Sept. 24

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 125 Birchtree Lane in Boone.

INCIDENT: Harassment was reported at 162 White Laurel Lane Unit B in Boone.

INCIDENT: Larceny and breaking and entering were reported at 233 Jack Hayes Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: A missing person was reported at 275 Howard Woodring Family Road in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 47, of 104 Woolridge in Beech Mountain, was charged with FTA-DWLR. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 25.

Sept. 25

INCIDENT: Larceny from buildings and communicating threats were reported at 4020 N.C. Highway 105 S. in Boone.

INCIDENT: Damage to property was reported at 1816 George Hayes Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 3961 N.C. Highway 194 N. in Boone.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 989 Reese Road in Vilas.

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault was reported at 235 Cara Lane in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 44, of 225 Linda Lane in Vilas, was charged with RDO. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 23.

Sept. 26

INCIDENT: Overdose/poisoning was reported at 842 Old Mountain Road in Banner Elk.

ARREST: A male suspect, 53, of 315 Cabbage Patch Lane in Mountain City, was charged with felony PWIMSD methamphetamine. He was held under a $15,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 23.

Sept. 27

INCIDENT: Attempted breaking and entering and vandalism were reported at 2605 Powder Horn Mountain Road in Deep Gap.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 1119 Brownwood Road Unit 1 in Deep Gap.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 153 Vandettas View in Boone.

ARREST: A female suspect, 57, of 153 Vandettas View in Boone, was charged with larceny and resisting a public officer. She was held under a $750 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 23.

Sept. 28

INCIDENT: Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle was reported at an area near 886 Old U.S. Highway 421 N. in Vilas.

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault was reported at 276 Rocky Glen Lane in Blowing Rock.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and larceny from buildings were reported at 144 Ridge Point Drive in Boone.

Sept. 14

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at Sak’s Grill.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at Mountain Crafted Homes on Oak Street/Pine Street.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at Watauga High School, 300 Go Pioneers Drive.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 151 Howard St. #106.

INCIDENT: Drug violations, possession of marijuana and possession of methamphetamine were reported in the parking lot at Ingles, 2575 N.C. Highway 105.

Sept. 15

INCIDENT: Larcenies were reported at 190 Eli Hartley Drive #211.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering an automobile and larceny were reported at Greystone Eye, 150 Market Hills Drive.

INCIDENT: Larcenies were reported at 247 Eli Hartley Drive.

INCIDENT: Maintaining a dwelling house for a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of schedule I and schedule IV controlled substances, possession of stolen property and PWISD marijuana were reported at 260 Azor Court Unit B.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering was reported at 686 State Farm Road Apt. 301.

ARREST: A male suspect, 20, of 260 Azor Court B in Boone, was charged with conspiracy to commit misdemeanor larceny and larceny. He was held under a $10,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

ARREST: A male suspect, 22, of 170 Beulah Land Lane in Vilas, was charged with conspiracy to commit misdemeanor larceny and larceny. He was held under a $10,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

ARREST: A male suspect, 38, of 1410 Cracker Neck Road #1 in Mountain City, Tennessee, was charged with carrying a concealed gun and possession of a schedule II controlled substance. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

ARREST: A male suspect, 18, of 1427 Ball Branch Road in Meat Camp, was charged with obtaining property by false pretense and larceny by employee. He was held under a $10,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

ARREST: A male suspect, 38, of 455 Locust Hill Road in Boone, was charged with red light violation and DWI – alcohol. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

Sept. 16

INCIDENT: Embezzlement was reported at Sagebrush Steakhouse, 1111 N.C. Highway 105 #514.

INCIDENT: Fraud was reported at 970 Rivers St.

INCIDENT: Assault by pointing a firearm and going armed to the terror of the public were reported at 515 Junaluska Road.

INCIDENT: Simple assault was reported at 287 Bamboo Road.

Sept. 17

ARREST: An order for arrest was issued for a male suspect, 25, of 1499 Sandy Ridge Road in Millers Creek. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 13.

ARREST: A female suspect, 34, of 208 Bear Creek Lane in Deep Gap, was charged with larceny – shoplifting and concealment of goods. She was held under a $500 secured bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.

ARREST: A female suspect, 36, of 397 Charlie Hicks Road in Banner Elk, was charged with resisting arrest. She’s scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

ARREST: A male suspect, 34, was charged with resisting arrest. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

ARREST: A male suspect, 26, of 219 Green St. Apt. 18, was charged with possession of paraphernalia, conspire to sell/deliver marijuana, maintain dwelling and PWISD. He was held under a $5,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

ARREST: A male suspect, 23, of 210 Northwest Drive in Davidson, was charged with conspiracy to sell/deliver marijuana and PWISD marijuana. He was held under a $4,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

Sept. 18

INCIDENT: Larceny – shoplifting was reported at 178 W. King St.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at Wal-Mart, 200 Watauga Village Drive.

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 2209 Wolf Trap Road in Winterville, was charged with lane control and DWI. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

ARREST: A male suspect, 29, of 1060 Seven Oaks Road, was charged with DWLR. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

Sept. 19

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 133 Boone Docks St. #5.

INCIDENT: Communication of threat and simple physical assault on a female were reported at Baymont Inn and Suites #319, 1075 N.C. Highway 105.

INCIDENT: Larceny from motor vehicle was reported at 665 E. King St.

INCIDENT: Larceny and breaking and entering were reported at 219 Green St. Apt. 7.

ARREST: A female suspect, 40, of 9476 Wilson Road in Hildebran, was charged with misuse of 911 system and second degree trespassing. She was held under a $750 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 23.

ARREST: A male suspect, 26, of 515 Junaluska Road, was charged with escape from custody or resist arrest and intoxicated and disruptive. He was held under a $2,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 23.

ARREST: A male suspect, 49, of 2271 Sallies Lane in Winston Salem, was charged with communicating threats and assault on a female. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

Sept. 20

INCIDENT: Forcible sexual offense and rape were reported at 386 Yosef Drive Apt. D.

INCIDENT: Calls for service/death investigation was reported at 314 Meadowview Drive #105.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 223 New Market Centre.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 311 Hardin St.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported on Madison Avenue.

ARREST: A male suspect, 22, of 619 Scissortail Lane in Apex, was charged with left of center and driving while impaired. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.
