Weekly Crime Reports: Activity and Arrests in Boone and Watauga County, Oct. 31 – Nov. 11

Oct. 31

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 178 Barberry Place in Mount Airy, was charged with simple physical assault and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 25.

Nov. 2

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault was reported at 429 Dogwood in Blowing Rock.

INCIDENT: Speeding to elude, driving left of center and unsafe passing yellow line were reported on U.S. Highway 421 N in Boone near Hilltop Drive-in.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 4872 Old U.S. Highway 421 N. in Vilas.

Nov. 3

INCIDENT: Communicating threats was reported on the 200 block of Stone Mountain Road in Vilas.

INCIDENT: Assault on a female was reported at 1417 N.C. Highway 105 Bypass in Boone.

INCIDENT: Attempted suicide was reported at 422 Timber Ridge Road in Sugar Grove.

INCIDENT: Other offenses were reported at 115 Long St. Unit 4 in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 51, of 1417 N.C. Highway 105 Bypass Apt. 3, was charged with aggravated assault and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 25.

Nov. 4

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 204 Parkwood Circle Unit 2 in Boone.

INCIDENT: DWLR and open container were reported at Valley Pantry, 9258 U.S. Highway 421 N in Zionville.

INCIDENT: Shooting of livestock was reported at 515 Preacher Blackburn Road in Todd.

ARREST: A male suspect, 47, of 4273 Possum Hollow Road in Cosby, Tennessee, was charged with DWLR not impaired rev and open container. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 17.

ARREST: A male suspect, 23, of 1552 W. King St. Apt. 6, was charged with felony sell/deliver a schedule I controlled substance and PWIMSD a schedule I controlled substance. He was held under a $25,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 15.

Nov. 5

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault and vandalism were reported at 343 Mesa Circle Unit 2 in Boone.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 180 Lynn Hill Road in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 35, of 590 D. Droke in Piney Flats, Tennessee, was charged with felony assault with firearm/deadly weapon, speeding to elude, fugitive other state, misdemeanor, left of center, unsafe passing, failure to stop at a stop sign and failure to stop for steady red light. He was held under a $50,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 17.

ARREST: A male suspect, 31, of 128 Kerley Drive in Boone, was charged with felony breaking and entering, larceny and possession of a firearm by felon. He was held under a $25,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 17.

Nov. 6

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 10127 U.S. Highway 421 N in Zionville.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 757 U.S. Highway 321 N. in Vilas.

INCIDENT: Civil OFA and resisting a public officer were reported at 7615 Old U.S. Highway 421 in Zionville.

INCIDENT: Fraud was reported at 4424 Meat Camp Road in Todd.

ARREST: A male suspect, 26, of 7615 Old U.S. Highway 421 in Zionville, was charged with civil OFA and resisting a public officer. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 15.

INCIDENT: Assault on a female was reported at 225 Hawks Bill Drive in Banner Elk.

INCIDENT: Burglary, possession of burglary tools and larceny were reported at 2525 North Fork Road in Zionville.

ARREST: A female suspect, 34, of 339 Corner Road in Mountain City, Tennessee, was charged with felony burglary, possession of burglary tools, misdemeanor larceny, injury to real property and trespassing. She was held under a $10,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 17.

ARREST: A male suspect, 53, of 326 Morefield Road in Butler, Tennessee, was charged with felony burglary, possession of burglary tools, misdemeanor larceny, injury to real property and trespassing. He was held under a $10,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 17.

ARREST: A male suspect, 36, of 900 Conestoga Drive in Charlotte, was charged with DWI. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 17.

Nov. 8

INCIDENT: Trespassing was reported at Fancy Pants in Banner Elk.

ARREST: A male suspect, 31, of 388 N.C. Highway 105 Bypass in Boone, was charged with habitual felon. He was held under a $75,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 14.

ARREST: A female suspect, 38, of 230 Roberts Drive in Boone, was charged with OFA FTA misdemeanor larceny. She was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 5.

Nov. 9

INCIDENT: Lost/stolen license plate was reported at 1248 Georges Gap Road in Vilas.

INCIDENT: Fraud was reported at 468 Forest Grove Road in Vilas.

ARREST: A male suspect, 53, of 326 Morefield Road in Butler, Tennessee, was charged with parole and probation violations. He was held under a $2,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 13.

ARREST: A female suspect, 25, of 176 Huffman Road in Vilas, was charged with felony OFA FTA possess methamphetamine and misdemeanor OFA FTA possess drug paraphernalia. She was held under a $6,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 14.

Nov. 10

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 12161 N.C. Highway 105 S in Banner Elk.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering a motor vehicle and truck theft were reported at 577 George Wilson Road in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 33, of 165 Robin Lane in Boone, was charged with felony assault by strangulation and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 17.

ARREST: A male suspect, 29, of 8736 N.C. Highway 105 in Boone, was charged with OFA felony probation violation. He was held under a $10,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 30.

Nov. 11

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported on the 800 block of Fallview Lane in Boone.

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault was reported at 115 Rogers Drive #10.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering a motor vehicle was reported at 695 W. King St.

ARREST: A male suspect, 23, of 1552 W. King St. Apt. G in Boone, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and PWIMSD a schedule I controlled substance. He was held under a $25,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 17.

ARREST: A female suspect, 20, of 115 Rogers Drive 10, was charged with simple physical assault and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 17.

ARREST: A male suspect, 26, of 9970 Marshall Corner Road in White Plains, was charged with felony probation violation. He was held under a $75,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 17.

Nov. 4

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 287 Ivy Terrace Drive Apt. 506.

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault was reported at 400 W. King St.

ARREST: A male suspect, 23, of 268 Little Wilkesboro Road in Harmony, was charged with driving while impaired and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 15.

Nov. 5

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 105 Oak Grove Road.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported in the visitor lot on Madison Avenue.

Nov. 6

INCIDENT: Assault inflicting serious bodily injury was reported in the parking lot at Boone Mall, 1180 Blowing Rock Road.

INCIDENT: Shoplifting was reported at Walmart, 200 Watauga Village Drive.

INCIDENT: Tampering with a motor vehicle was reported at 970 Rivers St.

INCIDENT: Assault on a female and criminal damage to property were reported at 183 Hillside Drive.

ARREST: A male suspect, 24, of 123 Royal Mile Lane in Newland, was charged with open container, speeding and driving while impaired and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 17.

ARREST: A male suspect, 51, of 2472 Junaluska Road in Boone, was charged with indecent exposure. He as held under a $750 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 15.

ARREST: A male suspect, 18, of 4037 Shannon Drive in Trinity, was charged with shoplifting concealment of goods. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 17.

ARREST: A male suspect, 24, of 1414 Old Bristol Road, was charged with tampering with a motor vehicle and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 15.

ARREST: A male suspect, 33, of 183 Hillside Drive, was charged with assault on a female and criminal damage to property and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 15.

INCIDENT: A male suspect, 24, of 105 Assembly Drive Apt. 16, was charged with misdemeanor larceny. He was held under a $25,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 17.

Nov. 7

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at JC Penny in the Boone Mall, 1180 Blowing Rock Road.

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault was reported at 139 Hampton Drive.

INCIDENT: Breaking and/or entering and domestic criminal trespassing were reported at 119 Best Place Court. Apt. Q.

ARREST: A male suspect, 23, of 1075 Russ Cornett Road in Boone, was charged with domestic criminal trespassing and breaking and/or entering and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 15.

ARREST: A male suspect, 19, of 599 Forest Hills Drive, was charged with larceny and breaking and entering. He was held under a $25,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 15.

Nov. 8

INCIDENT: Damage to property was reported at 287 Hardin St.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 105 Oak Grove Road #19.

INCIDENT: Simple assault was reported at 165 Robin Lane #301.

ARREST: A male suspect, 33, of 165 Robin Lane #301, was charged with simple physical assault and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 17;

ARREST: A male suspect, 55, of 503 N Davis Ave. Apt. 2 in Newton, was charged with FTA/communicating threats, FTA/possession of drug paraphernalia, FTA/possession of synthetic cannabinoid and FTA/consuming on public property. He was held under a $7,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 16.
