Weekly Crime Reports: Activity and Arrests in Boone and Watauga County, Oct. 26 – Nov. 3

Oct. 26

INCIDENT: Possessing/concealing stolen property was reported at High Country Recycling, 8468 U.S. Highway 421 N.

Oct. 27

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 590 Seven Devils Road in Banner Elk.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 1228 Poplar Grove Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 1733 N.C. Highway 194 N. in Boone.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 156-1 Ruthies Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Fraud was reported at 372 W. Tweetsie Lane in Banner Elk.

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 236 Martin Lane in Boone, was charged with felony drug violations. He was held under a $3,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 17.

ARREST: A female suspect, 27, of 225 Birch St. Suite 4 in Boone, was charged with larceny and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 20.

ARREST: A male suspect, 39, of 182 Chatiy Creek Lane in Boone, was charged with domestic violence protection order violation and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 5.

ARREST: A female suspect, 28, of 9842 South Maryland Avenue in Chicago, Illinois, was charged with felony magistrate’s order for fugitive. She was held under a $10,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 17.

ARREST: A female suspect, 20, of 220 Stanley Ave. in Millers Creek, was charged with court violations. She was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 25.

ARREST: A male suspect, 29, of 4541 Elk Creek Road in Deep Gap, was charged with non-support/non-payment of alimony. He was held under a $1,080 secured bond.

Oct. 28

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 536 Stanberry Road in Deep Gap.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 135 Long St. in Boone.

INCIDENT: Trespassing was reported at 2362 Timber Ridge Road in Sugar Grove.

ARREST: A male suspect, 50, of 338 Brook Hollow Road in Boone, was charged with child support. He was held under a $22,941 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 30.

ARREST: A male suspect, 26, of 1315 Morreene Road in Durham, was charged with order for arrest for DWI. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond.

Oct. 29

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 132 Poplar Grove Connector Road in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 41, of 144 Leafy Lane in Vilas, was charged with fraud – worthless checks and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 6.

ARREST: A female suspect, 40, of 217 Sunset St. NW in Lenoir, was charged with OFA failure to pay monies. She was held under a $273 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 19.

ARREST: A male suspect, 43, of Horn in the West Drive in Boone, was charged with felony supervised released violation petition.

ARREST: A female suspect, 31, of 146 Antelope Run in Boone, was charged with child support. She was held under a $200 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 30.

Oct. 30

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 1493 Linville Creek Road in Vilas.

INCIDENT: Domestic assault was reported at Zippi’s 105 Exxon Food Mart, 2968 N.C. Highway 105 S.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at 1806 Auborn Trivette Road in Sugar Grove.

Oct. 31

INCIDENT: Larceny and vandalism were reported at 207 Old Clayton Greene Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Larceny and vandalism were reported at 1010 Slabtown Road in Zionville.

INCIDENT: Cruelty to animals and drug violations were reported at 455 Locust Hill Road in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 25, of 455 Locust Hill Road in Boone, was charged with possession of a schedule VI controlled substance, cruelty to animals and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was held under a $5,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 25.

ARREST: A female suspect, of 455 Locust Hill Road in Boone, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 25.

Nov. 1

INCIDENT: Resisting a public officer and simple possession of marijuana were reported in the area of 945 Hodges Gap Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Motor vehicle theft was reported at 960 Fallview Lane in Boone.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 1299 Highland Hall Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Communicating threats was reported at 759 Jordan V. Cook Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 189 Parkwood Circle in Boone.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at The Cottages of Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 293 W. King St. in Boone, was charged with resisting a public officer and simple possession of marijuana and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 15.

Nov. 2

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and injury to real property were reported at 236 U.S. Highway 221 N. in Deep Gap.

Nov. 3

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering was reported at 294 Mesa Circle Unit 1 in Boone.

INCIDENT: Fraud was reported at 458 Yosef Drive.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 800 Meadowview Drive Apt. 14.

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 259 Furman Road Apt. 115, was charged with contempt of court/perjury/court violations. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 25.

Oct. 28

INCIENT: Calls for service were reported at Los Arcoiris, 168 Boone Heights Drive.

ARREST: A male suspect, 19, of 1879 Routh Road in Burlington, was charged with driving vehicle with no registration, displaying fictitious registration plate, no liability insurance and DWLR. He was held under a $1,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 25.

ARREST: A male suspect, 26, of 256 Charles St. in Boone, was charged with failure to appear.

ARREST: A male suspect, 27, of 246 Crestview Drive in Mountain City, was charged with intoxicated and disruptive, communicating threats and simple assault. He was held under a $3,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 17.

Oct. 29

INCIDENT: Assault by pointing a gun was reported in the parking lot at 970 Rivers St.

INCIDENT: Fraud was reported at First Tracks, 1380 N.C. Highway 105.

INCIDENT: Possession of cocaine was reported at 179 Howard St.

ARREST: A male suspect, 25, of 15 Race Track Drive in Bunn, was charged with expired registration, driving while impaired and assault by pointing a gun. He was held under a $1,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 17.

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 133 Pheasant Ridge #A, was charged with possession of cocaine. He was held under a $4,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 17.

Oct. 30

INCIDENT: Damage to property was reported at 591 Horn in the West Drive.

INCIDENT: Domestic assault was reported at 180 Meadow Hill Drive Apt. 202.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and trespassing were reported at 1230 State Farm Road.

INCIDENT: Burglary – non-forced entry was reported at 454 W. King St. Apt. 6.

ARREST: A female suspect, 19, of 322 Clawson St., was charged with felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance, misdemeanor drug violations and maintain veh/dwell/place CS. She was held under a $3,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 17.

ARREST: A female suspect, 29, of 111 Perkins Place in Seneca, was charged with trespassing and breaking and entering. She was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 15.

ARREST: A male suspect, 49, of 338 Brook Hollow Road, was charged with trespassing and breaking and entering. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 15.

Oct. 31

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 1320 W. King St.

ARREST: A male suspect, 30, of 275 Meadow Hill Drive Apt. 12, was charged with possession of marijuana paraphernalia, failure to register, simple possession of a schedule VI controlled substance and DWLR not impaired rev. He was held under a $300 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 25.

ARREST: A male suspect, 17, of 150 Church St., was charged with consume alc by < 19. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 25.

ARREST: A male suspect, 41, of 137 North St., was charged with give MTBV/U-WN to < 21. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 25.

ARREST: A male suspect, 20, of 2514 N.C. Highway 601 in Yadkinville, was charged with driving under age – provisional and DWI and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 15.

ARREST: A male suspect, 43, of 119 Valley High Lane in Blowing Rock, was charged with fictitious info to officer. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 25.

Nov. 1

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault was reported at 100 Appalachian St.

INCIDENT: All traffic (except DWI), drug violations, DWI, taunting a police K-9 and possession of schedule II, schedule IV and schedule VI controlled substances were reported at 359 E. King St.

INCIDENT: Death investigation was reported at 153 Zeb St.

INCIDENT: Assault was reported at The Tapp Room, 421 Blowing Rock Road.

INCIDENT: Criminal damage to property was reported in the parking lot at Plymouth Trace Apartments, 214 Oak St.

INCIDENT: Felony larceny, misdemeanor breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering were reported at 276 Oak St. Apt. 5.

ARREST: A female suspect, 31, of 1515 Laughlin Road in Randleman, was charged with simple assault and give fictitious info to officer. She was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 15.

ARREST: A male suspect, 32, of 5466 Joel Jessup Road in Seagrove, was charged with assault on a female. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 15.

ARREST: A male suspect, 22, of 10312 Tanners Mill Place in Raleigh, was charged with left of center and DWI and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 17.

ARREST: A male suspect, 20, of 17509 Cambridge Grove Road in Huntersville, was charged with drug possession of schedule VI paraphernalia, consume alc by 19/20 and possess marijuana up to ½ oz. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 17.

ARREST: A male suspect, 23, of 118 Wildwood Drive in Deep Gap, was charged with DWI and red light violation and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 15.

ARREST: A female suspect, 20, of 466 Mountain Scenery Road in Roaring River, was charged with provisional and DWI and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 15.
