Weekly Crime Reports: Activity and Arrests in Boone and Watauga County, July 21 – 26

The following information is provided by local law enforcement agencies.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

July 21

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 579 River Ridge Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Trespassing was reported at 292 Homespun Hills in Boone.

INCIDENT: Damage to property was reported at 194 Maple Park in Blowing Rock.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 579 River Ridge Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Fraud was reported at 401 Buckskin Hollow in Deep Gap.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 221 Joe Shoemaker Road in Vilas.

ARREST: A female suspect, 35, of 293 Hensels Lane in Boone, was charged with failure to appear on charges of criminal summons or citation. She was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 11.

July 22

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 7112 Rominger Road Unit 1 in Sugar Grove.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 1200 Archie Carroll Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Instigating cruelty to animals and property damage were reported on Norman Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 986 Fallview Lane Unit 1 in Boone.

INCIDENT: Assault on a female was reported at 129 Lazy Lake Road Unit 4 in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 28, of 129 Lazy Lake Road Unit 4 in Boone, was charged with assault on a female. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

July 23

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 117 Wildflower Drive C208 in Vilas.

ARREST: A male suspect, 31, of 476 Hardaman Circle in Boone, was charged with all other offenses. He was held under a $10,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

ARREST: A male suspect, 28, of 253 Flowers Branch Road in Deep Gap, was charged with OFA child support. He was held under a $685 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 3.

July 24

INCIDENT: Possession of a stolen motor vehicle was reported at the Watauga County Library in Boone.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 142 Cub Ward Road in Vilas.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 123 Harmony Mountain Lane in Boone.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 390 Pine Run Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault was reported at 130 N.C. Highway 105 Bypass in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 26, of 104 Carlin Court, was charged with felony interfering with an electronic monitoring device. He was held under a $5,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.

ARREST: A female suspect, 33, of 130 Hardees Alley in Newland, was charged with felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle. She was held under a $7,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.

ARREST: A female suspect, 46, of 982 Howard Edmisten Road in Sugar Grove, was charged with failure to appear on charges of fict/alt title/reg card/tag and operating a vehicle with no insurance. She was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

July 25

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 1033 Seven Oaks Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 106 Patton Lane in Boone.

INCIDENT: Indecent exposure, assault on a government official and RDO/resist were reported at 9800 N.C. Highway 105 S. in Banner Elk.

INCIDENT: A male suspect, 23, of 191 W. Main St./200 River Road 2 in Banner Elk, was charged with assault on a government official/employee, RDO and indecent exposure. He was held under a $2,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

July 26

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering was reported at 1351 Pine Branch Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Injury to real property was reported at 184 Hodges Gap Road in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 26, of 1662 Mountain View Baptist Church Road in Deep Gap, was charged with contempt of court/perjury/court violations. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

ARREST: A female suspect, 21, of 175 Echo Point Lane in Deep Gap, was charged with contempt of court/perjury/court violations. She was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

ARREST: A male suspect, 25, of 7615 Old U.S. Highway 421 N. in Zionville, was charged with injury to real property. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

July 27

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering was reported at 611 Horseshoe Ridge Lane E. in Deep Gap.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at 729 Dutch Creek Road in Banner Elk.

July 20

INCIDENT: Fraud and larceny were reported at Walmart, 200 Watauga Village Drive.

ARREST: A male suspect, 37, of 1520 W. King St. Apt. 11, was charged with failure to appear. He was held under a $3,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 14.

July 21

INCIDENT: Larceny from a vehicle was reported at 335 Hunting Hills Lane.

ARREST: A male suspect, 33, was charged with communicating threats. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

ARREST: A male suspect, 18, of 5197 Little Bill Lane in Denver, was charged with careless and reckless and possession of a schedule II controlled substance. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

July 22

INCIDENT: Assault was reported at 1184 N.C. Highway 105.

INCIDENT: Credit card/ATM fraud was reported at Wells Fargo ATM, 397 Rivers St.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at Blue Ridge Pediatrics, 579 Greenway Road.

ARREST: A male suspect, 26, of 232 Basham Hill Road in Bristol, was charged with assault. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

ARREST: A male suspect, 31, of 423 W. Pine Swamp Road in Fleetwood, was charged with driving while license revoked and DWI – alcohol. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

ARREST: A female suspect, 38, of 1520 W. King St. #6, was charged with possession of stolen goods and no operator’s license. She was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 26.

ARREST: A female suspect, 37, of 309 Meadow Hill Drive Apt. 23, was charged with failure to appear. She was held under a $750 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

ARREST: A male suspect, 22, of 190 Wood Circle Apt. 27, was charged with simple possession. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

July 23

INCIDENT: Damage to property was reported at 166 Winklers Meadow.

ARREST: An order for arrest was issued for a male suspect, 22, of 668 Fallview Drive. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 14.

ARREST: A female suspect, 23, of 176 Creekside Lane, was charged with failure to appear on charges of driving while license revoked and speeding. She was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

ARREST: A male suspect, 32, of 603 Horney Creek Road, was charged with intoxicated and disruptive. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and was scheduled to appear in court on July 23.

ARREST: A male suspect, 25, of 491 Valle Trail, was charged with failure to appear on charges of carrying a concealed weapon. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 26.

July 24

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering a motor vehicle and larceny from a motor vehicle were reported at 970 Rivers St.

INCIDENT: Auto breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle were reported at 433 Fairway Drive.

INCIDENT: Drug violations (equipment/paraphernalia), speeding and possession of methamphetamine, morphine and marijuana were reported on the 1000 block of Perkinsville Drive.

INCIDENT: Non-physical assault was reported at 142 Charlotte Ann Lane #D9.

INCIDENT: Shoplifting was reported at Walmart, 200 Watauga Village Drive.

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 7932 Buckfield Place, was charged with headlight violation and DWI – alcohol. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

ARREST: A male suspect, 19, of 517 Gordon Drive, was charged with consuming alcohol underage, larceny and burglary. He was held under a $10,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.

ARREST: A male suspect, 56, of 137 Rachel Court, was charged with speeding, two counts of drug violations, possession of a schedule VI controlled substance and three counts of possession of a schedule II controlled substance. He was held under an $8,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

July 25

INCIDENT: Drug violations were reported at 289 Ambling Way #634.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 177 New Market Centre.
July 26

INCIDENT: Counterfeiting was reported at McDonald’s, 896 Blowing Rock Road.

INCIDENT: Drug violations and speeding were reported at 300 Yosef Drive.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering was reported at 124 North Hampton Road.

ARREST: A male suspect, 33, of 21 Brownlee St., was charged with DWI. He was held under a $750 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

July 26

ARREST: A female suspect, 39, of 391 Jenwil Drive, was charged with speeding and drug violations. She was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.
