Weekly Crime Reports: Activity and Arrests in Boone and Watauga County, December 7 – 14

The following were provided by the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office.

Dec. 8

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault, trespassing and damage to property were reported at 1414 Old Bristol Road in Boone.

Dec. 9

INCIDENT: Child abuse (non-assaultive), resist/delay/obstruct and drug violations were reported on the 3000 block of Old U.S. Highway 421 N. in Zionville.

INCIDENT: Obtaining money/property by false pretense was reported at 103 Ravens Ridge Circle in Boone.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 2207 U.S. Highway 421 N in Boone.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 326 Cloudrise Lane in Banner Elk.

ARREST: A male suspect, 30, of 346 Pine Oak Lane in Dunn, was charged with felony habitual felon and possession of a firearm by a felon. He was held under a $50,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 11.

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 416 Greer Lane in Vilas, was charged with child abuse (non-assaultive). He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 15.

ARREST: A male suspect, 25, of 1414 Old Bristol Road in Boone, was charged with assault and battery, second degree trespassing and injury to real property. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 11.

Dec. 10

INCIDENT: Assault and battery and second degree trespassing were reported at 588 N.C. Highway 105 Bypass.

ARREST: A male suspect, 19, of 2007 B. Ben Bolen Road in Creston, was charged with RDO. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 15.

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 234 Jenwill Drive in Deep Gap, was charged with assault on a female and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 15.

ARREST: A male suspect, 42, of 311 Circle Drive East in Boone, was charged with contempt of court/perjury/court violations. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 7.

ARREST: A male suspect, 26, of 4554 Peoria Road in Sugar Grove, was charged with simple worthless check.

ARREST: A male suspect, 26, of 256 Charles St. in Boone, was charged with RDO. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 15.

Dec. 11

INCIDENT: Damage to property was reported at 100 U.S. Highway 221 N in Deep Gap.

INCIDENT: Fraud was reported at Watauga County Communications.

INCIDENT: Drug violations were reported at the High Country Fairgrounds, 739 Roby Greene Road in Bone.

INCIDENT: Fraud – credit card/ATM was reported at 434 Forest Ridge Drive in Boone.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at 1922 Rich Mountain Road in Zionville.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 2300 U.S. Highway 421 N in Boone.

INCIDENT: Resist/delay/obstruct was reported on the 800 block of Hodges Valley Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault was reported at 528 Fallview Lane Unit 2 in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 20, of 528 Fallview Lane Unit 2 in Boone, was charged with simple physical assault. He was held under a $1,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 15.

ARREST: A male suspect, 52, of 170 Wintergreen Lane in Boone, was charged with DWLR after impaired driving and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 15.

Dec. 12

ARREST: A male suspect, 28, of 262 Bluebird Lane in Boone, was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 15.

Dec. 13

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 2006 U.S. Highway 421 N Apt. 2 in Boone.

Dec. 14

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 205 Silverleaf Road in Zionville.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported on Sampson Road in Blowing Rock.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 3081 Deerfield Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 3684 Meat Camp Road in Boone.

ARREST: A female suspect, 30, of 574-1 Fallview Lane in Boone, was charged with FTA Superior Court. She was held under a $30,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 11.

The following were provided by the Boone Police Department.

Dec. 7

INCIDENT: All traffic – give/lend/borrow registration and drug violations were reported at 2200 U.S. Highway 421 S.

INCIDENT: Motor vehicle theft was reported at Lowe’s Hardware, 1855 Blowing Rock Road.

ARREST: A male suspect, 36, of 407 Meadowview Drive in Boone, was charged with drug violations – equipment/paraphernalia – possessing/concealing and possession of a schedule II controlled substance (methamphetamine). He was held under a $4,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 15.

ARREST: A male suspect, 44, of 1702 Cool Springs Place in Lenoir, was charged with assault on a female and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 19.

ARREST: A male suspect, 25, of 180 Meadow Hill Drive #206 in Boone, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while license revoked. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 15.

Dec. 8

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 300 Go Pioneers Drive.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at Ten High Bowling Center, 261 Boone Heights Drive.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 187 Watauga Village Drive.

INCIDENT: Burglary – forcible entry was reported at 275 Meadow Hill Drive Apt. 12.

ARREST: A male suspect, 38, of 2235 Partridge Circle in Hopkins, was charged with counterfeiting – using, counterfeiting – possessing/concealing, counterfeiting – manufacturing and fraud – obtaining money/property by false pretense. He was held under a $10,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 15.

ARREST: A male suspect, 50, was charged with order for arrest and larceny. He was held under a $2,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 17.

Dec. 9

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault was reported at Bank of America, 1800 Blowing Rock Road.

ARREST: A male suspect, 19, of 1000 Black Oak Court in Apex, was charged with disorderly conduct. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 1.

Dec. 10

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering a motor vehicle and possession of marijuana were reported at 1601 Blowing Rock Road.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at Toyota of Boone, 700 E. King St.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 744 Appalachian Drive.

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault was reported at 300 Go Pioneers Drive.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at Primedical Health Care, 210 N.C. Highway 105 Ext.

ARREST: A male suspect, 24, of 11432 Horseman’s Trail in Raleigh, was charged with hit and run and DWI – alcohol and/or drugs and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 15.

ARREST: A male suspect, 26, of 338 Brook Hollow Road in Boone, was charged with breaking and entering a motor vehicle. He was held under a $4,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 15.

Dec. 11

INCIDENT: Shoplifting was reported at Walgreen’s, 2184 Blowing Rock Road.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 153 Crossing Way Apt. 405.

INCIDENT: Burglary was reported at 189 Winter Drive.

ARREST: A female suspect, 22, of 3624 Bermuda Drive NE in Conover, was charged with no tail lamps and DWI – alcohol and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 15.

ARREST: A female suspect, 20, of 416 Greer Lane in Boone, was charged with child abuse (non-assaultive). She was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 15.

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 247 Hardin St. H1 in Boone, was charged with violation of a court order and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 15.

Dec. 12

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 326 Howard St.

INCIDENT: Disorderly conduct was reported at BB&T Bank, 971 Blowing Rock Road.

INCIDENT: Shoplifting was reported at Boone Mall, 1180 Blowing Rock Road.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 4235 N.C. Highway 105.

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 725 Little Dry Run Road in Butler, was charged with resisting a public officer, larceny and FTA – probation violation. He was held under a $3,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 19.

Dec. 13

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 287 Hardin St.

ARREST: A female suspect, 40, of 210 Howards Creek Road Apt. 2 in Boone, was charged with DWI – alcohol and/or drugs and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 15.

ARREST: A male suspect, 57, of 338 Brook Hollow Road in Boone, was charged with all traffic and DWI – alcohol and/or drugs and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 15.

ARREST: A female suspect, 20, of 767 NE Cumberland Road in Atlanta, was charged with resist/obstruct/delay, intoxicated and disruptive and consuming alcohol by 19/20. She was held under a $1,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 15.
