Weekly Crime Reports: Activity and Arrests in Boone and Watauga County, Aug. 15 – 25

The following information is provided by local law enforcement agencies.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The following were provided by the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office.

Aug. 15

ARREST: A male suspect, 29, of 11036 N.C. Highway 105 S. in Banner Elk, was charged with assault on a female, trespassing and injury to real property. He was held under a $1,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 10.

Aug. 16

ARREST: A male suspect, 31, of 476 Hardaman Circle in Boone, was charged with larceny. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.

Aug. 17

INCIDENT: Fraud was reported at 357 Russelton Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 314 Rusty Coat Lane in Boone.

ARREST: A female suspect, 41, of 620 Morning Side Drive in Blowing Rock, was charged with assault and battery. She’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 11.

ARREST: A female suspect, 27, of 7934 Old N.C. Highway 10 Lot #19 in Hickory, was charged with contempt of court/perjury/court violations. She was held under a $30,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 12.

Aug. 18

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 269 Farthing Hayes Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 5740 N.C. Highway 194 S. in Banner Elk.

INCIDENT: Unemployment fraud was reported at 221 Howard Woodring Family Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Fraud was reported at 225 Norman Road in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 19, of 1280Old John’s River Road in Blowing Rock, was charged with contempt of court/perjury/court violations.

Aug. 19

INCIDENT: Motor vehicle theft, larceny from buildings and breaking and entering were reported at 897 Council Ward Road in Sugar Grove.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 471 Hawks Nest Drive in Boone.

Aug. 20

INCIDENT: Fraud was reported at 467 U.S. Highway 321 N. in Vilas.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering, larceny from buildings and larceny of a firearm were reported at 260 Phillips Mountain Drive in Deep Gap.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and larceny from buildings were reported at 223 Old Burg Road in Zionville.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and vandalism were reported at 2473 Little Laurel Road in Boone.

Aug. 21

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 127 Makers Lane in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 48, of 309 Junaluska Road in Boone, was charged with two counts of contempt of court/perjury/court violations. He was held under a $12,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 23.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 111 Paul Critcher Drive in Boone.

INCIDENT: Larceny from motor vehicle was reported at 1067 Charlie Thompson Road in Vilas.

INCIDENT: Harassment was reported at 210 Howards Creek Road Apt. 2 in Boone.

INCIDENT: Assault on a female was reported at 204 Parkwood Circle Unit 2 in Boone.

INCIDENT: Simple assault was reported at 257 SPI Road in Deep Gap.

INCIDENT: Burglary was reported at 1033 Russ Cornett Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: An unattended death was reported at 229 Lynn Hill Road Unit 2 in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 23, of 598 Fallview Lane Unit 1 in Boone, was charged with communicating threats. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

Aug. 23

INCIDENT: Simple assault was reported at 141 Circle Drive W. in Vilas.

INCIDENT: Harassment was reported at 134 Miller Drive in Boone.

INCIDENT: Larceny and trespassing were reported at 3203 Bethel Road in Sugar Grove.

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault was reported at 528 Fallview Lane Unit 2 in Boone.

INCIDENT: Larceny from buildings was reported on Mesa Circle in Boone.

INCIDENT: Harassment was reported at 182 Poplar Creek Estates in Todd.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at 460 Roxanna St. in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 23, of 460 Roxanna St. in Boone, was charged with breaking or entering and larceny. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

ARREST: A male suspect, 31, of 476 Hardaman Circle in Boone, was charged with violation of a court order and second degree trespassing. He was held under a $10,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 9.

Aug. 24

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault was reported at 414 Mallard Lane Apt. 20 in Boone.

ARREST: A female suspect, 25, of 222 Shady Grove in Boone, was charged with failure to appear on charges of DWLR. She was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 30.

ARREST: A female suspect, 18, of 428 Bluebird Lane in Boone, was charged with failure to appear. She was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.

ARREST: A male suspect, 38, of 348 Monarch Lane in Deep Gap, was charged with felony probation violation and misdemeanor probation violation. He was held under a $47,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 31.

Aug. 25

ARREST: A male suspect, 23, of 3671 Ball Park Road in Newton, was charged with DWI. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

Aug. 17

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at Lowe’s Foods, 267 New Market Centre.

ARREST: A male suspect, 19, of 5749 Ellenwood Road in Granite Falls, was charged with contempt of court/perjury/court violations. He was held under a $2,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 11.

ARREST: A male suspect, 27, of 172 Macon Ave. Apt. 3 in Asheville, was charged with conspiracy to sell and deliver a schedule VI controlled substance and PWISD schedule VI controlled substance. He was held under a $10,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

ARREST: A male suspect, 25, of 383 Plantation Drive in Marion, was charged with conspiracy to sell and deliver a controlled substance, maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance and PWISD schedule VI controlled substance. He was held under a $10,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

ARREST: A female suspect, 29, of 338 Brook Hollow Road, was charge with larceny. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

Aug. 18

INCIDENT: Assault on a female was reported at 259 Furman Road Apt. 113.

ARREST: A male suspect, 19, of 259 Furman Road Apt. 113, was charged with assault on a female. He was held under a $500 secured bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 19.

ARREST: A female suspect, 27, of 1280 Old Johns River Road in Blowing Rock, was charged with assault upon an officer, resist/obstruct/delay and intoxicated and disruptive. She was held under a $5,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 145 Moretz Dr. Apt. 4, was charged with damage to real property. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.

Aug. 19

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault was reported on Watauga Village Drive.

ARREST: A male suspect, 47, of 150 Hillandale Drive, was charged with simple physical assault. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

ARREST: A male suspect, 19, of 2013 Middleham Drive in Kernersville, was charged with DWLR. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

Aug. 20

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at The Gym, 240 new Market Centre.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 208 Faculty St.

INCIDENT: Counterfeiting was reported at Wilco, 2702 N.C. Highway 105.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 150 Hillandale Drive.

INCIDENT: Vandalism and simple physical assault were reported at 209 Sunset Drive.

INCIDENT: A missing person was reported at 599 Forest Hill Drive.

INCIDENT: A damaged door was reported at Kingswood Condos, 229 E. King St.

ARREST: A male suspect, 50, of 209 Sunset Drive, was charged with vandalism and simple physical assault. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

ARREST: A female suspect, 22, of 205 Northchester Way in Raleigh, was charged with careless and reckless driving, driving on a sidewalk and DWI. She’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

Aug. 21

INCIDENT: Fighting (affray) was reported at Watauga High School, 300 Go Pioneers Drive.

INCIDENT: Other weapons violations were reported at 1435 N.C. Highway 105.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 218 Whitener Drive.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at Greene’s Motel Room 121, 1377 Blowing Rock Road.

ARREST: A female suspect, 22, of 951 Saint Johns Church Road in Concord, was charged with DWI. She’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

ARREST: A male suspect, 20, of 251 Berry Farm Road in Westminster, was charged with possession of marijuana paraphernalia and consuming alcohol by 19/20. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

ARREST: A male suspect, 25, of 198 Clark St. in Blowing Rock, was charged with failure to appear. He was held under a $7,100 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 16.

Aug. 22

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault on a female was reported at 386 Yosef Drive.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 574 Brookshire Road.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 125 Graduate Lane.

ARREST: A male suspect, 62, of 1358 Friendship Church Road in Boone, was charged with failure to maintain lane control and DWI. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

ARREST: A male suspect, 20, of 509 Stuart Ridge in Cramerton, was charged with consuming alcohol by a 20 year old, possessing a fraudulent ID and intoxicated and disruptive. He’s schedule to appear in court on Sept. 29.

ARREST: A female suspect, 24, of 314 Meadowview Drive Apt. 429 in Boone, was charged with DWI and stop light violation. She’s schedule to appear in court on Sept. 29.

Aug. 23

INCIDENT: Communicating threats was reported at 329 Meadow Hill Drive.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 631 W. King St.

ARREST: A male suspect, 19, of 27354 Walking Run in Milton, was charged with driving after consuming under the age of 21 – provisional, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, failure to produce driver’s license, failure to burn headlamps and DWI. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.
