Weekly Crime Reports: Activity and Arrests in Boone and Watauga County, Aug. 10 – 18

The following information is provided by local law enforcement agencies.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The following were provided by the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office.

Aug. 11

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering, criminal damage to property and communicating threats were reported at 1008 Slabtown Road in Zionville.

ARREST: A male suspect, 25, of 2660 Beaverdam Road in Vilas, was charged with child abuse.

ARREST: A female suspect, 27, of 180 Hudson Cajah Mountain in Hudson, was charged with failure to pay child support. She was held under a $428 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 24.

ARREST: A female suspect, 29, of 351 Wildcat Road in Deep Gap, was charged with harassing phone call. She’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 4.

ARREST: A male suspect, 30, of 8507 Three Top Road in Todd, was charged with felony probation violation, two counts of failure to appear and two counts of misdemeanor failure to appear. He was held under a $64,000 secured bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 17.

Aug. 12

INCIDENT: Drug violations (possession of a schedule II controlled substance and equipment/paraphernalia) were reported at 1923 Meat Camp Road in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 22, of 3236 Ridgewood Place Drive in Winston Salem, was charged with conspiracy to commit larceny of a motor vehicle. He was held under a $10,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 12.

ARREST: A male suspect, 27, of 228 Howard St. in Mount Holly, was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 8.

ARREST: A male suspect, 59, of 861 Presnell School Road in Banner Elk, was charged with communicating threats. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.

ARREST: A male suspect, 37, of 218 Adams Lane in Lexington, was charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance and possession of equipment/paraphernalia. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

ARREST: A male suspect, 29, of 3509 Little Dry Run in Butler, Tennessee, was charged with felony failure to appear and misdemeanor failure to appear. He was held under a $15,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 11.

Aug. 13

INCIDENT: Simple assault was reported at 840 Little Creekside Lane in Banner Elk.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 9115 N.C. Highway 105 S. Unit 06 in Banner Elk.

INCIDENT: Burglary and simple assault were reported at 115 Long St. in Boone.

Aug. 14

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 282 Winterberry Trail in Boone.

ARREST: A female suspect, 59, of 260 Cara Lane in Boone, was charged with assault and battery. She’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 9.

Aug. 15

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 139 Margot Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Injury to real property was reported at 1275 Andy Hicks Road in Banner Elk.

ARREST: A male suspect, 31, of 214 Thompson Hollow Road in Vilas, was charged with DWI. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

ARREST: A male suspect, 58, of 1275 Andy Hicks Road in Banner Elk, was charged with order for arrest for failure to appear. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

Aug. 16

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 219 Loafers Joy Drive in Zionville.

INCIDENT: Fraud was reported at 972 Lawrence Greene Road in Deep Gap.

INCIDENT: Communicating threats was reported at 477 Skyview St. in Deep Gap.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 147 Poplar Creek Estates Drive in Todd.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 197 Old U.S. Highway 321 S. Unit 7 in Blowing Rock.

ARREST: A male suspect, 35, of 5550 Howards Creek Road in Boone, was charged with DWI. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

ARREST: A male suspect, 31, of 476 Hardaman Circle, was charged with larceny. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.

ARREST: A male suspect, 29, of 11036 N.C. Highway 1045 S. in Banner Elk, was charged with assault on a female, trespassing and injury to real property. He was held under a $1,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 10.

Aug. 17

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 127 Corby Ct. Unit 2 in Boone.

INCIDENT: Fraud – impersonation was reported at 2083 Bairds Creek Road in Vilas.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 314 Rusty Coat Lane in Boone.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported on Linville Creek Road in Vilas.

INCIDENT: Motor vehicle theft was reported at 2683 Little Laurel Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: All other offenses was reported at 3141 Bamboo Road in Boone.

Aug. 18

INCIDENT: A male suspect, 19, of 1280 Old John’s River Road in Blowing Rock, was charged with contempt of court/perjury/court violations. He was held under a $6,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 26.

Aug. 10

INCIDENT: Larceny and possession of schedule I, III and IV controlled substances were reported at Walmart, 200 Watauga Village Drive.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 153 Crossing Way.

ARREST: A male suspect, 41, of 227 Pinnacle Woods Drive, was charged with failure to appear and DWLR. He was held under an $800 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

ARREST: A male suspect, 20, of 8587 Three Top Road in Todd, was charged with failure to appear. He was held under a $1,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 24.

ARREST: A male suspect, 34, of 244 Devils Den Road in Banner Elk, was charged with larceny, possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, possession of a schedule III controlled substance and possession of a schedule I controlled substance. He was held under a $5,750 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

ARREST: A male suspect, 50, of 311 Laurel Forks Road in Vilas, was charged with concealment of merchandise.

ARREST: A male suspect, 52, of 170 Wintergreen Lane, was charged with trespassing. He was held under a $300 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

ARREST: A male suspect, 23, of 285 Wood Circle, was charged with NOL. He was held under a $500 secured bond and He was held under an $800 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

Aug. 11

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 215 North St.

INCIDENT: Affray was reported on East King Street.

ARREST: A male suspect, 20, of 114 Bee Balm Lane, was charged with unsafe movement, open container, driving after consuming – provisional and DWI. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

Aug. 12

INCIDENT: Credit card/ATM fraud was reported at Walmart, 200 Watauga Village Drive.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at 234 Rushing Creek Drive #A.

ARREST: A male suspect, 33, of 521 N.C. Highway 105 Ext. Apt. A, was charged with possession of marijuana paraphernalia and possession of a schedule VI controlled substance. He was held under a $3,000 secured bond and He was held under an $800 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.

Aug. 13

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at Walmart, 200 Watauga Village Drive.

INCIDENT: Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported at 115 Rogers Drive.

ARREST A male suspect, 22, of 968 Dowell Ridge Road in North Wilkesboro, was charged with hit and run, failure to reduce speed and DWI. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.

Aug. 14

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 499 W. King St.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at Sleep Inn, 163 N.C. Highway 105 Ext.

INCIDENT: Credit card/ATM fraud was reported at Greene’s Motel, 1377 Blowing Rock Road.

INCIDENT: Assault on a government official and resisting a public officer were reported at 534 Junaluska Road.

ARREST: A male suspect, 22, of 289 Ambling Way #133, was charged with open container and driving while impaired. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

ARREST: A male suspect, 23, of 202 Lake Manor Road in Chapel Hill, was charged with driving while impaired. He was scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 14.

ARREST: A male suspect, 25, of 534 Junaluska Road, was charged with resisting a public officer and assault on a government official. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

Aug. 15

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported.

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault was reported at 150 Hillandale Drive.

ARREST: A male suspect, 49, was charged with probation violation. He was held under a $1,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 2.

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 1015 Damon Drive in Belmont, was charged with disorderly conduct and damage to property. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 10.

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 115 Rogers Drive #10, was charged with failure to appear. He was held under a $4,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 8.

Aug. 16

INCIDENT: Death investigation was reported at 857 State Farm Road Apt. 102

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 155 John Thomas Drive.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering – non-forced entry was reported at 291 Pine St.

ARREST: A male suspect, 24, of 338 Brook Hollow Road in Boone, was charged with intoxicated and disruptive. He was held under a $750 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

ARREST: A female suspect, 49, of 11036 N.C. Highway 105 S. in Banner Elk, was charged with simple assault and trespassing. She was held under a $750 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 10.

ARREST: A MALE SUSPECT, 24, OF 155 John Thomas Drive, was charged with larceny. He was held under a $10,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

ARREST: A male suspect, 22, of 11329 Canoe Cove Lane in Huntersville, was charged with breaking and entering – non-forced entry. He was held under a $1,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.
