Watch Me for NC Campaign Kicks Off with a Bike Rodeo on Saturday, Aug. 23 at Hardin Park School

Aug. 22, 2014. The Watch Me for NC Campaign kicks off on Saturday, Aug. 23 with a Bike Rodeo. The event will take place from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Hardin Park School located at 361 Jefferson Rd.

imgres-1The event will feature helmet fit and safety checks, bike inspection and safety checks, bicycle safety lessons, fun activities, healthy snacks and prizes.

Join the town of Boone for a fun-filled day of entertainment, prizes and biking. The Bike Rodeo is a free event and is open to all elementary school-aged children.

Bring your own bike and helmet and have fun while learning about bicycle safety from the Boone Police Department. Don’t have a bike? Don’t worry, a small number of bicycles and helmets will be available during the event.

The Town of Boone, the Town of Boone Police Department and the ASU Police Department are partners in the Watch for Me NC campaign and are committed to reduce the number of pedestrian and bicycle accidents that occur each year in North Carolina.
