Watauga Habitat Restore Holds Annual Customer Appreciation Event on Saturday, Sept. 30

The Watauga Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Boone will hold its annual customer appreciation sale located at 1200 Archie Carroll Road on Saturday, Sept. 30 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. All proceeds from the ReStore serve as a primary revenue source for the local Watauga Habitat affiliate. The mission of Watauga Habitat is to provide decent, affordable housing to low-income Watauga County residents. This is done by building modest homes with volunteer labor, land and materials that are donated or purchased at reduced cost. Habitat offers zero interest mortgages to the home owners. Homes are sold at no profit.

Anyone shopping at the Watauga Habitat for Humanity ReStore on Saturday, September 30th will receive 20% off their purchase, including gently used furniture, home goods, construction items and more.   BUBBA burger generously donated plenty of burgers and prizes when they visited the area last month with Logan Lucky star, Channing Tatum. Customers making a purchase that day will be entered in a raffle offering t-shirts, hats, a one-of-a-kind BUBBA burger tail-gating grill and other prizes. BUBBA burgers will be served to all while supplies last. Check out the BUBBA burger website here for more information about their visit to the High Country.

“We are really excited about this year’s Customer Appreciation. Some great changes are happening at the ReStore and we look forward to sharing them with the community,” said Gardner Hoover, manager of Watauga Habitat for Humanity ReStore. “Come on out, have a BUBBA burger, win a prize and check out the deals,” said Hoover.

The Habitat for Humanity of Watauga County ReStore is a nonprofit home improvement store and donation center that sells new and gently used furniture, home accessories, building materials, and appliances to the public at 25%-75% of the retail price. The Watauga ReStore is proudly owned and operated by the Watauga County Habitat for Humanity affiliate. Proceeds from the ReStore are used to build homes and hope in our own community.

The Watauga Habitat for Humanity ReStore accepts new and used building-related materials from contractors, suppliers, individuals, remodelers, and property managers. These materials are offered to the general public to purchase at reduced prices. This helps keep reusable materials out of the waste stream and provides a revenue stream for building energy efficient homes for low-income families in need. All donations to the ReStore are tax-deductible.
