Watauga GOP Thanks Law Enforcement for Charging Person Stealing Political Signs

watauga-gopOn Oct. 24, 2016 during the night time hours an alert citizen noticed two individuals in a white Honda Civic stealing Donald Trump political signs. This alert citizen notified law enforcement who proceeded to stop these individuals. Carlos Robles admitted to taking the political signs without permission and was charged by the Watauga County Sheriff’s Department with misdemeanor larceny.

The Watauga County Republican Party would like to thank the hard working men and women of the law enforcement, specifically the North Carolina Highway Patrol and the Watauga County Sheriff’s Department for their assistance in apprehending this suspect and hope that he will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

It is abhorrent and un-American that an individual would seek to stifle the speech of others in the public forum. It’s unfortunate that liberals go to such extremes as stealing to attempt to influence elections.
