Watauga County Fair To Run Through Saturday Evening at the High Country Fairgrounds

The Watauga County Fair opened on Tuesday and runs through the evening of Saturday, Aug. 19 at the High Country Fairgrounds on Roby Greene Road.

Presented by the Mountain View Speedway, this year’s fair features plenty of racing action and other activities around the track, a Watauga County Fair Pageant and rides for the kids.

The pageant is being held on Aug. 17 at 7 p.m. and is open to girls and boys of all ages. Eight winners will be crowned. This year’s theme is “patriotic,” and winners will receive a crown, printed sash and flowers.

Fairway admission is $5 dollar, and wristbands for the rides cost $15. Look around town or call the number below for $2-off coupons that are still available as of Wednesday.
