Watauga Crimestoppers Seeking Public Assistance in Two Cases; Copper Wire Stolen, Graffiti at Sak’s Grill

Sept. 27, 2012. Watauga County Crimestoppers and Boone Police seek the public’s assistance in solving the following crime:

On Sept. 23, 2012 at approximately 2:40am, an unknown white male drew graffiti one of the gas pumps at Sak’s Grill located on the corner of E. King St. and the N.C. 105 extension. The male was last seen headed towards Wood Circle on foot. 

Anyone with information on this crime or any other crime is asked to call Crimestoppers at 828-268-6959 or the Boone Police Department at 828-268-6900.  All information will be kept confidential. 

Crimestoppers pays rewards for information, which leads to arrests; recovery of stolen property; seizure of drugs and the location of wanted persons.


The ASU Police Department needs your help in solving a Breaking & Entering and Larceny that took place at the New River Light and Power facility located at 143 Faculty Street Extension in Boone.  Sometime between 09/22/2012 at 4 p.m. and 09/24/2012 at 7 a.m., the suspect(s) entered the storage area of New River Light and Power at a hole in the fence. The items taken were

  • 6- 315ft rolls of copper wire
  • 1- 3/8 Drive Socket set
  • Set of truck keys with a fuel key
