Watauga County Farmers’ Market Hit the High Country this Past Saturday, Open for the Season

This past Saturday, May 6, the Watauga County Farmers’ Market opened for the season at the Horn in the West right here in Boone! The Farmers’ Market opened around 8 a.m. and closed at noon, offering four hours of fresh produce, flowers, honeys, popcorn, crafts, community and so much more.

Although the weather was chilly, and a little undesirable, that didn’t stop the vendors from showing up, setting up and offering their products to the people who came out to support them. Bundled up and staying warm, the vendors, along with their products, toughed it out for the first day of the farmers’ market season.

If you missed this opening Saturday, don’t worry! The Farmers’ Market will be open every Saturday for the entire season, from 8 a.m. until noon at the Horn in the West, so you have plenty of opportunity to come out and support your local farmers and vendors!
