TODD, NC —Wahoo’s Adventures, the High Country’s original river outfitter, is bringing Float Fest back to the New River. Float Fest is an annual river festival featuring tubing, disc golf, games, local music, local food trucks, and local beer, all benefiting a local non-profit!
For 2017, Wahoo’s is partnering with Boondocks Brewing Tap Room & Restaurant of West Jefferson, with proceeds benefitting High Country Pathways.
“Last year, it was a sell-out crowd,” said Wahoo’s owner Jeff Stanley. “We raised more than $2,500 that High Country Pathways was able to put toward the Middle Fork Greenway.”
Float Fest will be held at the New River Outpost of Wahoo’s at 3380 Big Hill Road in Todd, North Carolina. The gate opens for tubers at noon on Sunday, June 25, and shuttles for tubers will run continuously until 4:30 P.M. Food and festivities will run continuously until 6:00 P.M., with peak hours from 1:00 to 5:00 P.M. The cost of admission is $20, with a minimum of $5 of each ticket donated to High Country Pathways. After bills are paid, any additional proceeds go to High Country Pathways. Tickets are available online at www.wahoosadventures.com or by calling 828-262-5774.
