Every year, RaysWeather.com publishes a stunning collection of photos in its annual calendar with the help of the general public. The deadline for voting in the 2017 Blue Ridge Parkway Calendar by RaysWeather.com and the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation is April 24.
As has been the case for the past three years, the 2017 calendar features photos of the Blue Ridge Parkway (from Waynesboro, Va., to Cherokee, N.C.) and a portion of proceeds from calendar sales benefits the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation.
In a post on the website, RaysWeather.com noted that they received 650 entries, and judges “whittled that number down to 20 to 30 finalists” for each season. The photos, organizers say, are of a higher quality each year.
“Many photos that are not in the finalists list this year would have been in the calendar 14 years ago,” according to RaysWeather.com. “Please help us by voting–you’ll be amazed by the variety and stunning scenes!”
Here’s how the voting works. First, click to RaysWeather.com. Then peruse the photos, categorized by the four seasons, and vote for three photos in each season.
The grand-prize winner will be selected for the calendar cover and will also receive $200 gift certificate to RaysMarketplace.com and a $200 cash prize. The 12 photographers selected for the months of the 2017 calendar will each receive $100 gift certificate to RaysMarketplace.com.
