june-2013_smallIn the June issue, we take you on a tour of all the hot spots in the High Country to take your sweetheart out for a romantic time, day or night, any day of the week in our “Make a Date: Take in a Town” section. Here, you will find fantastic date ideas, like new places to eat, shows, art galleries, and weekend jaunts into the beautiful towns of the High Country. This area has so much more to see and do than meets the eye.

Have you ever wandered past Lees-McRae’s campus and been amazed at the beauty of its architecture? Learn all about it and more in the magazine which features a great story about just that, along with a fantastic spread of photos and information on the future of the college.

In another story, be taken on a journey over 1,000 miles long down the Mountains to the Sea Trail. This story features breathtaking photos as well to show you what you’ve been missing.

Take a trip through history and visit the 1861 Farmhouse. Read about where it’s been and what it has become since it was first built so many years ago.

Finally, learn about the FORUM at Lees-McRae college, which for over 35 years has enriched, entertained and elevated. This story also features a list of programs at the FORUM for you to check out.

And of course, don’t forget our exclusive calendar, an exhaustive list of anything and everything happening in the High Country this summer. There, you are sure to find something exciting for every week of the summer.

And that is just a small sample of what awaits readers in our first summer issue of the year. Whether you’re looking for a great new date, a new place to visit or a good story just waiting to be read, we’ve got you covered.

Can’t get to town to grab a copy of your own? No problem. We have an online copy right here already waiting for you to flip through.
