On May 25, officers from The Avery County Sheriff’s office arrested 70-year-old Captain Estep of Flat Springs Road on a felony warrant out of North Wilksboro, charging him Obtaining Property under false pretense.
He was taken to the Avery County Jail, where he was seen by a Magistrate, and was released on a Written Promise bond. His trial date is set for June 10, 2015.
On May 31, Avery County officers responded to a call about an unwanted person at a residence on Mollies Branch Road. Upon arrival officers came in contact with 41-year-old Patricia Ann Clark of Webb Hollow Lane.
The officer had prior knowledge of a felony warrant in Avery County for Parole and Probation violation. Upon further checking, it was found she also had an outstanding felony warrant in Mitchell County for Larceny.
She was arrested, and taken to the Avery County jail. Her trial date is set for June 8, 2015
