Two Found Dead at Old Beech Mountain Residence, Investigators Await Autopsy Tests

Late Friday evening law enforcement and medical units responded to a mobile home on Hummingbird Lane in the Old Beech Mountain community. John Sellers, 52, and Leslie Hart, 51, were discovered by a friend, deceased at the residence, according to Sheriff Kevin Frye.

There was no obvious indication of violence, and it appears carbon monoxide was not a factor. There also was no evidence of a break in. The State Bureau of Investigation was called to the scene and currently investigators are awaiting results of autopsy and toxicology tests which may take weeks.

“We are looking at every possibility for the cause of these deaths but until we have the medical information needed as to the cause of deaths we currently have very limited investigative leads,” said Sheriff Frye.
