Two Arrested Near Sugar Grove After Meth Investigation

Meth in Sugar GroveJune 24, 2013. On June 18, narcotics detectives from the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Division conducted a search of 755 Peoria Road in Sugar Grove after conducting an investigation regarding the sell and distribution of Methamphetamine. 

During the course of the search, detectives located methamphetamine, paraphernalia, five marijuana plants and a firearm.  One of the occupants of the residence was a convicted felon, thereby making it illegal to possess a firearm. 

James Arthur Moore, 33, of 755 Peoria Road, was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Manufacture Marijuana, Maintaining a Dwelling CS (F), and Possession Drug Paraphernalia.  Moore is currently being held at the Watauga County Detention Facility in lieu of a $25,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in District Court on July 29, 2013. 

Mickey Denyse Tobiassen (Taylor), 34, of 755 Peoria Road, was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Manufacture Marijuana, Maintaining a Dwelling CS (F), and Possession Drug Paraphernalia.  Tobiassen is currently being held at the Watauga County Detention Facility in lieu of a $10,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in District Court on July 29, 2013.
