Tweetsie Railroad’s Ghost Train Starts Tonight with Thrilling and Chilling Activities for Everyone

The Ghost Train offers a spooky ride with some monsters and undead characters.

By Hailey Blevins

As fall begins and Halloween nears each year, Tweetsie Railroad welcomes the Ghost Train Festival, which offers nights of fright to brave guests who are courageous enough to brave the Ghost Train and the many spooky activities that go along with it.

The Ghost Train is a weekly event on Fridays and Saturdays from now until the end of October. The gates open at 7:30 p.m. and the park will remain open until 11:30 p.m. The park doesn’t admit anyone into the park after 10:00 each night. The dates for the Ghost Train are:

Sept. 21-22 and 28-29

Oct. 5-6, 12-13, 19-20 and 26-27

People and ghouls alike flood the main street during Tweetsie’s Ghost Train.

Tickets and Admission

Advanced tickets are required, as a limited number of guests are admitted nightly. Many dates and times are still available, so purchase a ticket for a specific night and time before they are sold out! Tickets can be purchased on their website. When choosing a ticket, you are choosing your time for the Ghost Train ride, not for admittance into the park.

Admission is $38 per person for adults and children (age 2 and under are free). Admission includes all the nighttime events in the park, including the ride on the Ghost Train, Trick-or-Treating for the kids, Haunted House, Tweetsie Palace Spooktacular, the rides in the Creepy Carnival, and the attractions in “The Boneyard” section, featuring the Black Hole, 3-D maze, and the “Freaky Forest.”

The Ticket Office is open during regular park hours. Keep in mind that many nights during the Ghost Train Festival sell out in advance. If the night has not sold out, tickets are available for purchase at the gate. Because the daytime admission and Ghost Train Festival are separate events, tickets purchased for daytime admission do not cover the Ghost Train Festival.

There’s no other time at Tweetsie when you have the opportunity to enjoy so many attractions at Tweetsie, as the Ghost Train offers both the normal attractions and the Ghost Train attractions for your family to enjoy.

Attractions:

The Ghost Train Festival has many ghastly attractions each night to give guests thrills and chills all night long.
