Turchin Center for the Visual Arts Presents Dr. Elliot Engel: “The Woeful and Wondrous World of Van Gogh”

June 5, 2013. Join the Turchin Center for the Visual Arts (TCVA) in welcoming Dr. Elliot Engel to ASU’s Valborg Theater for his presentation, the “Woeful and Wondrous Life of Van Gogh” in honor of the TCVA’s tenth anniversary.

Dr. Engels’ lecture focuses on the life of artist Vincent Van Gogh. A reception with dessert and wine follows the event. The event takes place on June 13 from 7 to 9 p.m., and tickets cost $15 to attend.

UCLA graduate Dr. Engel is a scholar, author and educator who has taught at UNC Chapel Hill, N.C. State University and Duke University. He continues to teach outside the classroom at workshops presenting literary and historical programs worldwide. Of his many honorable awards, Dr. Engel was recently nominated and inducted into the Royal Society of Arts in England. For more information on Dr. Engel, click here

The Turchin Center also commemorates its anniversary by creating tenth anniversary limited edition prints of artist Tim Turner’s Lemon Grass.
