Trump Returns To NC Since Election Win

Yesterday, President-elect Donald Trump returned to North Carolina for the first time since his victorious election a month ago. He thanked supporters at the rally in Fayetteville, which is home to the nation’s largest military base, and officially named retired Marine Gen. James “Mad Dog” Mattis as his defense secretary.

N.C. Democratic Party spokesman Jamal Little released statement following the Trump rally:

“In addition to running one of the most divisive campaigns in history, Donald Trump lied to many North Carolinians about his plans to ‘drain the swamp.’ Now, we’re seeing Trump appoint the same type of people he campaigned against to his Administration. His Treasury and Commerce secretaries come from Goldman Sachs and a venture capital firm. Donald Trump has a long way to go to earn the trust of the American people.”
