The Town of Crossnore in central Avery County will host a Fall Jam and Hot Dog Roast on Friday, September 7. The event will take place at the Crossnore Meeting House and will run from 6:00-9:00 p.m.
The Crossnore Meeting House is located in the center of town. The hot dogs will be roasted in the town’s large fire pit there.
Noted regional guitarist and singer Jesse Smith will be the event’s featured performer. Smith is a Crossnore native.
All other singers and musicians are invited to bring themselves and their guitars, mandolins, keyboards, fiddles, banjos or other musical instruments and be ready to perform. Anyone who would like to attend is urged to come and enjoy the evening with Smith and friends.
The hot dogs will include the trimmings– chili, slaw, mustard, mayonnaise, ketchup, relish or any other condiment you want to use to top them.
There is a $2.00 suggested donation per person at the event to help cover its expenses and to make physical improvements in the Town through the Crossnore Community Enhancement, a non-profit organization that raises its needed funds.
For further details, contact the Town Clerk at Crossnore Town Hall in person or by phone at (828) 733-0360 on Monday, Wednesday or Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
