The Boone Town Council will hold budget workshops on Tuesday, May 26, and Wednesday, May 27, in order to finalize the budget before its next monthly meeting in June, when the council will vote to adopt the 2015-16 budget.
Checkout the recommended budget that was released by Town Manager John Ward last week and outlines the proposed funding levels for the town.
As for nonprofits, Ward recommended the same combined amount that was granted to outside agencies last year, which was about $115,000. Earlier this month, the Outside Agency Funding Review Committee discussed the funding requests from outside agencies and came to a consensus on the following recommendations.
The Boone Town Council will ultimately have the final say.
