14th Annual SafetyFest Returns to the High Country, Saturday

Seven Devils is bringing the annual SafetyFest back to the High Country on Saturday, July 1, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Come out and enjoy the Barbeque served from 11:00am – 3:00pm. Cost is $8.00 for adults and Children under 12 are $5.00. Craft Booths display local wares; Raffle Winners are drawn every hour (need not be present to win); silent auction items bidding from 10:00am – 2:30pm.
 

Free Classical Concert at the Daniel Boone Native Gardens, Saturday

Music for Harmony hosts a free classical concert this Saturday, July 1st, 11am in Daniel Boone Native Gardens of Boone, NC. Concert will feature musicians Drew LeslieJessica Warner, Lindsey Wilson, Barry BauguessEric Luke, and Beth Wiese. All music is environment themed: Water Music, Flight of the Bumblebee, Nature Boy, Rustle of Spring, Raindrop Prelude, Moonlight Sonata, Flower Duet, The Swan, Aquarium, Clair de Lune, and Quiet City. Money raised in the raffle will go to Climate Voices US. Raffle items include gift cards to RiverGirl Fishing Company, passes to Grandfather Mountain, a $50 gift card to Appalachian Mountain Brewery and Cidery, and a gift card to Mint | Indian Cuisine! Please bring chairs or blankets.

Ranger led tours of the second floor of the former home of Moses and Bertha Cone. Tour is approximately 45 minutes long and reservations are required. To reserve a tour: call 828-295-3782 or sign up at the NPS information desk at the Manor House. Reservations are accepted beginning at 10:00am Friday for the upcoming weekend only. No advance reservations, please.
