3) Boone Community Network to Host Talent Showcase at The Local on Jan. 23
As Boone grows, more organizations dedicated to the arts are established. On Saturday January 23rd, BCN and The Local on W. Howard Street will team up again to host a night to help new and long-standing performing arts groups promote their craft.
12 acts will compete for the Showcase Title and $200 cash prize. The community is invited to come watch the acts and vote for their favorites every hour. An array of dancers from many disciplines, comedians, musicians, poets, actors, and other styles will be in high profile! Last year, a daring duo of acro yogists took the crown. We’ll see if anyone can take their crown this time around!
There is still space for interested groups. The sign up form is online here, and also atwww.boonecommunitynetwork.com or on our Facebook. You can also contact ben@boonecommunitynetwork.com.
We can’t wait to share the full roster, and hope you’ll join us for a night as colorful and bombastic as the first!
