The Honey Chasers features Cameron Owens (mandolinist/vocalist) original material, performed in a quartet style featuring Fiddle, Guitar, and upright bass. Meade Richter (world champion master fiddler) also highlights the 5 string electric fiddle in The Honey Chasers. Jeff Ingersoll (guitar/vocal harmony), former guitar player for progressive bluegrass projects such as Sons of Bluegrass and The Ingersoll Brothers, brings flavors of traditional string jazz to The Honey Chasers’ unique sound. Karl Zerfas (bass/harmony singing) has studied a wide variety of genres including celtic, jazz, bluegrass, and old time music. With this interesting blend of influences and original musical ideas we’ve decided to classify our music as Progressive Bluegrass.
