1) “A Chair to Remember” Fundraiser Set for Sept. 7

Circles of the High Country, a Hospitality House initiative helping low-income families break the cycle of poverty, is excited to announce its inaugural “A Chair to Remember” fundraising event. Designed to celebrate art and second chances, the live and silent auction gala will take place on Labor Day, Monday September 7, from 4 – 8pm at The Uptown, 182 Howard Street.

Featuring donated chairs that have been refinished, redesigned, repurposed or reimagined by local artists, this free event will also include live music, dancing, food and raffle prizes. Prior to the event, the public can view the chairs online at http://highcountrycircles.com/vote/ and vote for their favorite chair and artist. The top vote getters will be auctioned through a live auction, with the remaining chairs available through silent auction.

Like these donated chairs, Circles of the High Country recognizes that everything and every person deserves a second chance. They invite everyone to celebrate these last days of summer by enjoying these local artists and helping to create a community where all people can thrive.
